According to the page, the rainbow pack has 1-5* orbs and the other part of the sale is with socket stones. Not to mention it lasts a month.
Edit: my bad, the rainbow has a CHANCE at a goldmane mount

I ran some calculations and came to belive that even +3 is slightly cheaper to get without orbs, on average.

Wow really? That's pretty sheer bad luck, because every other time I refine to +1 it's normally done in the first try. Apart from once, where it was the second. This goes for both weapon and armor, when I refine. =O
+2 I'm still relatively lucky. Given it's not hard for me to get +1 I can normally hit +2 in seven or eight mirages. (Yes, seven or eight. I have NEVER gone above a total of 10 mirages for +2 ever.)
+3 I managed twice. The first time it took me twelve mirages. The second it took me twenty three.

Ive +3'd some of my gear with just mirages, if you do hh or Delta a lot you can stock up mirages real fast and eventually get +30

Even with help of Dragon Orbs you must use the dragon orb for the current refine or higher or it will not work.

Luck, fortune, etc. are (like weather) different each time you look at them.
For high Refine level I can say that exist 99% chance that anyone will pay (in average per large number of tries) not more, not less than price of Total Dragon Orbs Needed for this level.

100% of success if you use orbs of proper level.
For example, in your case:
2 Mirages + Dragon Orb of 1 level

If pwi cared even the slightest about our economy or their players in general, they'd release the orbs in a 2 day NPC shop sale at around 40k apiece. A slight temporary loss in profit on a single item would be almost meaningless to them, yet would create a great deal of customer satisfaction and general trust in the company. On top of that it would be an absolutely godly coin sink. Or even if they'd added them to the jj packs instead of candy and junk.

You know what was nice.. I had about 300 dragon orbs from the first few orb sales. Which I got for 20-30k each. Then I sold em for 150k during the anniversary pack sale. Meaning a WHOPPING 5-6x profit.I was early taught to work as well as play,

THings you get with gold, thats it. Just buy charms with real money and the rest is still the same overall.
Prices may have doubled but gold has gone up 6x so your still getting a enourmously good deal.

Thats so true.. Except for some items say, teleports, TT items, substances, and... theres nothing else of value.
