Mage's PVP build and pvp helpers

This is a realy small guide to pvp'ing as s mage class. Let me just start off by saying that mages are made for two things.
1. Out smarting the rest <coughs> meat heads
2. Dishing out the most damage in the quickest ammount of time (yes mabey the other classes out rank you BUT the speed is where they cant catch up. Ever heard of a one hit kill?)

As a mage your going to realize that in the begining its gona suck becuase of the other classes having advantages both pvp/ pve wise. The archers WILL get the first shot and in most cases the first kill. The barbarians and blademaster's will KS (kill steal) allot because they dont need to wait a few seconds to strike, this leaves the venomancers who will well kick some **** in a shape shifted form (they'l kill something before you do). LATER however things get good! you'l be wanted in parties cus of all the damage and aoe power, you wont die fast in pvp (unless ur gona be an idiot and solo someone in pvp).

PVP INFO:
1. YOU WILL DIE ALLOT UNLESS PROTECTED! GET A HELPER.
Most mages think that with all the power they have that they can solo in a pvp fight...WRONG! Trust me when i say that having a back up or another dp's with you is way better than going at it on your own. Im not saying never solo im only saying that the best idea is to get a helping hand. Best thing to do is find a good tank with decent stats OR an archer for thier crits. You could go with a priest but in that case youll only have a healer with no support (you cant take the damage that well so you will never tank and the priest will be focused on healing or survival.)

2. DO NOT pick a crappy build
You see as a mage you got extremely low health in comparison to all the other classes. Putting points into anything other than int and str (for armor reasons only) is VERRY retarted. You naturally have low hp so theres no point in making up for it with wasting important attribute pts. Sure hybrid mages will last a tad longer and other types of builds prove to have some worth but in the end you will STILL have lower hp than your enemy (unless he/she is a mage). SO the build for you is Every even level +5 into intellect, Every odd level +1 str and +4 Int. You sacrifice health for Knowledge so really your a damage dude not a survivalist.
IF you wanted to last long in a fight or solo pvp allot(not saying you cant at all just saying not a good idea to do it) then you should have gone for Barbarian OR Blademaster Period.

    Please anyone reading disregard this. Refer to any of the build guides including Pandora's for PvP. Pure Int mages are nice but by no means are the only options. No one is stupid for not doing it. LA's have twice the survivability with minor loss in Matk. Hybrids are viable for TW. As a note, if you are not happy with your build you may purchase a reset item to change the stats around and play with them. Skill selections and methods is the single most important thing about your class and provides for many viable builds.

    archers have highest DPS in the game.

    69 gold sling > 89 mold + hell fury.

    I'm also curious as to how high fist BMs DPS is.

    is there a significant difference in damage between LA and full int? or am i not really going to notice it?

    Accounts vary. Per Pandora's testing it is an insignifigant amount of difference. Personal information, around level 70 it makes about 200pts of damage difference on lev 78 mobs to have an additional 100 points in magic\int

    I'm sorry, your "guide" is made up of opinions. There is no foundation of facts your guide is based off of. What level is your mage? We'd like to know how much experience YOU have before we listen to any of this.

    First of all, mages are NOT the quickest class. I'd like to hope we were, but unfortunately no we're quite slow. Although our lovely sandstorm is pretty quick already, by no means are we "fast". An archer could easily take a few shots at us before we even cast sandstorm.

    Barbarians and BMs do NOT ks a lot.
    That's YOUR personal opinion and it should definitely be kept out of a "guide".
    The ones who ks, are the players behind the character and NOT the class itself.
    I could be a mage and still ks the hell out of everyone, doesn't make the mage a ksing class.

    You also contradict yourself by saying "You won't die fast in pvp" then resort to saying "You have low hp" later on and "YOU WILL DIE A LOT UNLESS YOU ARE PROTECTED". No, I'm going to have to say, YES WE DO DIE FAST, if we are pure int mages. You stress on pure ints, thus YES, pure ints do die FAST. But we also kill fast, that's why we're glass cannons.

    Not to particularly praise him, but dddddfunLOL solo pvps a lot, although he fights a lot of people slightly lower level than him. Still, he's pretty good at solo pking, so you'd probably want to look further into your "facts" sir.

    This applies whether pvp OR pve... leave this out of a pvp guide please.
    Its blatantly obvious. You could do a comparison between builds, but... don't downright point and say "No crappy builds!"

    the higher level you are the more your int effects your damage

    ask some of CQs 90 mages.

    People should stop listening to Envy because of this comment. It shows how stupid he really is. I think Pandora is jealous of me too because I tanked more people than him at the PK at ants a couple days ago. Damn I should really take screen shots of my damage log to show people how little damage I actually take. I don't wanna hear a "omg you're 9x" because I'm still wearing 8x armor.

    why at 73 when you and lushess where both high 8x was i the one to pull agro and die?

    i hardly belive u can do more dmg then wiz ur lvl take me for exmple im 79 and i can hit with sand strom on water mobs 20ks+ non crits without any EP or HF (but ofc with undine) archers my lvl cant get near that and just for fun i tryed a prvite server and made a 105 archer got him a + 12 97 or so bow he had about 14k attk stats and he couldnt hit more then my wiz on the real server ofc prvite server means nothing but still 105 with +12 and 79 +5 so >.>


    p.s how dare u call this post a guide its nothing like a guide

    oh and i forgot to say 20ks + non crits without double spark / single spark just plain my dmg
