Either lvl up and KILL the farmer or annoy him til he leaves (includes stun locking him, sealing, sleeping etc.) or just use a faster mount and out farm him yourself0

The only problem is, he plays on Heavens Tear which means that he likely can't pk the mat farmer. Learn the mat loops, watch the farmer, see what order he farms mats in, and get ahead of him, or, find another loop. Seriously, there are plenty of mid level mat loops. Back when I still played, I was my guilds mat farmer and when people got in my way, I either killed them, or messed them up by getting ahead of them and messing their timing up resulting in them eventually raging and leaving the loop. For some reason, I post more now then I did when I actually played this game...does that make me a troll?

I agree that that price of ALL mat's are ridiculously high. But I don't believe mat farmers are the only culprit in the price gouging business. Before I open my Cat Shop, I take a look around to see what other people are charging for the same items I am selling (in shops and on AH). I set my prices lower. It's no loss to me because everything I sell I, either, farmed, mined, or harvested. No coins spent means 100% profit, regardless of what I charge. My lowest level mined substances, for instance, I may sell for 1k per unit. The mid-level ones I sell for 1.6k. I have my own way of calculating what I charge, which I prefer to keep to myself, but I do believe in keeping things affordable, even to new players who haven't had a chance yet to accumulate a substantial amount of coins. 10k for ONE unit of a mid-level substance is absolutely ridiculous ... not to mention greedy.
But getting to a real cause for concern, as far as price gouging goes, take a look around the cat shops in CotL, or any city for that matter, and take a look at what they are selling versus what they are BUYING. Often they are one in the same. Buying mats for a very low price and adding as much as 1000% to the price to sell the same mats. No time or effort involved ... just "set it and forget it", so to speak. I stay away from such shops when I am in search of a particular item, even if they have what I am looking for. They're not getting any of my hard earned coins.
As for my own time and effort, I don't add that to my prices because I am exp'ing at the same time. I'm going to be out there getting the good's anyway, whether I sell them to NPC's or set up my shop. There's no such thing as a "Perfect World" full of Jade, diamonds, gold, and other riches and treasures. There is only an imperfect world, with an imperfect society, full of imperfect people, with imperfect idea's about how to be perfectly rich and perfectly perfect. No one cares about being perfectly kind, perfectly fair, or perfectly content.

Butthurt QQers about not getting mats they want.
Guess what maybe instead of posting on this forum you should have farmed them yourself... By the time you have spend QQing you prob could have gotten at least 5 of each.
Besides its supply and demand... If players keep buying for a high price, people will keep selling for that. Same with the QQers about the price of gold and the "greedy" gold sellers

I love how the solution to people being rude and inconsiderate, is to be an even ruder and more arrogant jerk back to them. Seriously, all of you, grow the heck up, stop being spoilt children and learn some manners and common respect. -.-0 -

I posted earlier about the OP's ridiculous comments. Just went back to see what else has been said since and was suprised to see how many people think that stealing mats is an ok thing to do to others. I mean if you beat someone to a mat great for you. If you know the route better than they do awesome. But if you see someone fighting a mob on top of a mine don't move in and take the mat, That is stealing, period. They worked for it not you. Move to the next mat it's yours. If you aren't strong enough to take on the mobs near that mine, farm where you can survive.
Would you stand behind someone at an ATM and scoop the cash after they put in the PIN number? Someone posted it isn't stealing if it's not in their inventory. The money in the cash slot isn't in their wallet or purse yet so that makes it ok to take it?
I've actually had people say "Thanks for not stealing" as i move past them as they are fighting near a mine. Common courtesy goes a long way in life as it could in this game as well. It would only make it better for all of us that enjoy the game if more people would show some respect for others.Out of all the things I have lost over the years, I miss my mind the most.0 -

I don't get why you are complaining about other people farming the mid-mats when you can be out there farming. Also there are tons of people farming everyday, how do you think they feel when they are farming and someone comes and steals their mat? they either 1. pk them or 2. forget about that mat and go to the next one.
conplaining isn't the answer, better thinking is...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Can't farm mid mats?
Farm high mats, sell them at a cheap price (they're so rarely farmed where I go, I could easily make 200k off of one run from the sheer quantity.) then buy the mid mats with the money you make.
Oh wait, you don't want to farm..

Not a whole lot. With a full squad it's what 100 EXP per monster? I've done the 202020 so I ran through a full BH69 twice, it takes much longer than getting that EXP by yourself on normal monsters and they don't seem to drop stamps -or at a ridiculously low rate since I've never seen one in BH69 wined or unwined. Other than that they drop 20 coins and the occasional potion. Maybe a full unwined BH69 could get you 10-15k EXP, but it's still not worth time+effort spent.[SIGPIC]lol[/SIGPIC]0 -

well.. I guess people that invested in mounts have that priviledge. If u want to go faster than the other guy, get urself a 11mps mount or pay the price, either wait until no farmers around, or buy ur mats from catshop.
Also, when u farm mats, you lose time that u could use grinding.
It's like telling people: stop saying you studied in college in ur interviews (on which u invested a lot) because I want those jobs too.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Demand for mid mats has gone up in recent months, because you need mid-mats for bounty hunter quests.
But gathering money to buy mid mats takes time, and gathering mid mats takes time. If clearing monsters from FB69 got you 60k-ish experience per hour (which seems plausible to me), and earned you some comparable amount of gold (which also seems plausible), do you really want to be paying 60k coins (or whatever a wine share costs) so you can avoid that experience? How much experience were you earning when you were standing in archosaur trying to find a squad, and when you were waiting for your squad members to arrive?
In other words, if mid-mats are really becoming too expensive, I would think someone might care enough to maybe talk about how much their alternatives would be costing them? If nothing else, this kind of thinking might stabilize demand for mats?
#2. a share divided between 6 people will not yield much exp/$ at all.
#3. unwined FB69 takes houuurrrrsss to do.
its quite inefficient and time consuming to unwine one of the more difficult FBs in the game.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I don't understand. FB69 wine uses high mats. How is this relevant to the discussion regarding mid mats?0 -

can everyone stop killing from 6 p.m - 6 p.m so that me can actually kill things?
I recently stopped playing Cabal because of that: I couldn't get my quests done because the monsters were 24/7-ed by bots exploiting a bug that let them do very large AoEs... (the higher level char was roadblocked by their PK system, leaving the game to lower levels... and that lower level was roadblocked by the bots).
If there aren't enough materials around for normal players to get them, then it IS a problem since materials are pretty much required to level alchemy.
This is slightly different from lets say rare pets: I never even bothered trying to check their spawn locations, since with a spawn rate of 12 hours based off some point in time that I don't know, I have no chance to beat a camper. But then, the only thing I can do with a rare pet is to kill it to annoy the campers, try to tame it myself (much lower chance to succeed) and sell it, or keep it around to show off. Either way, it has no effect on the actual game --- therefore, letting the campers farm these is ok.
Basic stuff should be accessible for everyone, not just 24/7 campers, farmers and cash users.Yindra --- Lvl 64 Venomancer (Sanctuary)

I'm just going to post here, to link this back to the first post, because I can. Ya know? Anyway.
Mid mats are very easily accessible for everybody. You don't even need to search for these things - you could just go to some site and look up coordinates for a bunch of mid mats (or any mats) you need, and then scribble those down. If you happen to be in the area and see a free mat, pick it up.
I still wonder why this thread is carrying on when the answer of "if you tried a little harder instead of QQing" has been said numerous times...
Oh, and that post wasn't directed to anybody besides the OP, who if I am not mistaken crawled back into their mat-less hole after being told the same things by just about everybody. =O[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
