Venos use little to no potions, and typically have no repair costs worth mentioning. Also, they can solo bosses for rare drops.

    Missconception.

You will see alot of people that say they made an alt veno to make money. What they are not telling is that the reason they are making money, is because by the time they made the alt, they had learned how to farm and they learned what was worth to sell, therefore the alt made lots of money.

My alts are a wiz and a cleric, and they makes more money at their level than I did when I first started the game as a veno.

A wiz will have as low of repairs as a veno, same as the cleric, if you choose your mobs wisely.

That maybe true in the beginning but in the middle lvls a Veno can farm most mobs as well as solo dungeons earlier on.
Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.

off pure grinding and NPC'ing stuff - my veno (level 70 retired) made **** loads more money than my barb does. However, after seeing the Barb making little to no money in this manner - I've resorted to catshopping nearly every night. I see many people QQ about the anniversary packs - I on the other hand have been able to use them to raise millions without even buying them with coin or gold. Making money isn't just about farming and catshopping stuff. Its more about playing the economy to your advantage.

Ahhem.. Being a Veno, that started as a first character in the game, I can say that overall, I have had it easier than my other characters in making coin.

My pets generally do all the tanking, I rarely have repair bills. Almost everything I loot I can either sell, or use on other characters and I so rarely tick my HP charm (I don't even bother with a MP charm) that a BRONZE charm has lasted me more than a month.

Now.. to be honest I am also a very experienced pet class player. Running a Veno was not a huge stretch from running a Beastlord, Shaman, Necromancer or Wizard in another game I played so my experience there gave me an added advantage in playing the class.

My wife who runs a Veno as well, also finds her Veno easier overall to make coin, than her other classes (but again, she has the added benefit of my experience).

I would say that if you don't mind taking your time, choosing your targets carefully and are willing to grind out mobs that drop paying items (the DQ items for example), any class will make you good money, but Veno's make it at least a little if not a lot easier early on.

I know clerics my level that make more coin per hour than I do, so there does come a break even point.
