characters keep attacking me!!

i just became a lvl 30 character, and there r some characters that keep attackng and killing me whats with that??? it really sucks all the fun of the game!!!
isnt there a way to stop that? keep it reduced to confirmed dueling?

    You are on a PVP server. That means you painted a big fat juicy target on your backside. Suck it up cupcake! If you can't suck it up, roll a new toon on a PVE server.

    Welcome to a PvP server.

    Once you hit level 30, you're fair game to both players and monsters.


    If you'd like a PvP-less expereince, make a character on a PvE server.

    harshlands is a pvp server, anyone that wants to attack you over lvl 30 can attack you. if you don't like that, change to a pve server.

    Yeah, you will have that in your 3Xs, it will happen a little less in your 4Xs and and even less in your 5Xs, but it will never stop. If you are the type that really takes things personally and freaks out about it, then best to reroll, but honestly, you get used to it. But the first time it happens and you realize "hey i can beat this guy", and then you do......makes all those butt poundings worth it.

    Just go to town and go back to what you were doing. If the same guy kills you three times in a row POLITLY pm him that you are questing. If he kills you again, find another quest to work on. Whatever you do, DO NOT pm them a bunch of QQ, that is exactly waht they want. try whispering them a funny comment about how squishy you are, or compliment them on thier one-shot abilities.

    After awhile you will realize that without the bad guys, the game would not be quite as fun. Ohh and start a personal KOS list. With the expansion coming out you may just outlevel them while they work on their new char. Then YOU can bring the pain

    Heehee, yeah, yellin' at them just makes them mad.
    If you want to stay on the PvP server you will have to work on your Run Leik Teh Wind skeelz up to about level 50, around 60+ you can start turning around and attacking back, might just win...
    Up to you how to deal with persistent and or rude ones.

    You can also avoid places where PvPers like to stay. (You can easily figure this out by noticing where you get killed. Stops on world quest paths with low level players are a favorite for certain kinds of PKers.)

    Well the "Harshlands(PvP)" tag on the server can't be more obvious. But I guess it can me missed easily by at least someone. I guess it's just a learning experience for the OP, and he probably should be glad that he only invested 30 levels into the server before finding out.

    No, the topic is still on track. PVP server player finds out that being on a PVP server is a harsh painful world. Seems pretty on track to me, even if I digress now and then and chew on liberal sheep that want to bleat out how unfair and harsh I am being in an unfair and harsh world.

    Uhm. Maybe hes not a moron or anything, maybe he didnt know the server was PvP. He didnt even know what was PvP looks like. Thad doesnt make him an idiot.

    This is my first MMO RPG and I rolled into HarshLands and I didnt even know what was PvP or PvE. I first looked in forums at lvl 30ish. Its fun to see some people that think they are gods just bc they play a bunch of games and know all about the mechanics of MMORPGs and stuff. and they assume everyone is like them.

    The ones that called "suck it up" and a "moron" to the started or the thread have really proved themselves as shallow and moronic persons. Seems like they enjoy flaming ppl OL and in forums, maybe its their getaway from RL where they get equially flamed. Look for a good psychiatrist and GTFO.
    Also, I quote Saitada on this:

    That is quite a statement hahaha. I imagine Saitada IRL breaking into a room and saying that.
    Indeed, its very mature, and intelligent to say that phrase to a bunch of people you dont know.
    Also, INTELLIGENCE refers to a property of the mind that encompasses many related abilities, such as the capacities to reason, to plan, to solve problems, to think abstractly, to comprehend ideas, to use language, and to learn. How do you know you reason/plan/solve probs... than the majority of PWI players? I mean, thats what you meant right? If you meant you had more knowledge or you are wiser... its the same thing. With that phrase you have proved you are a actually Smart Off. If you were that intelligent you could have thought that indeed this player didnt know Harshlands was a PvP server,and maybe didnt even know the concept of PvP. But oh well, whatever. I wont even check for responses.

    To the thread opener, maybe you should re-roll on a PvE, after all, you are still lvl 31 right? I figured I would enjoy the regular PvP when I got higher, and so far, since my 50s I havent regrettn my decision. I got multiple boutique items and mounts from unprotected rednames and stuff. Yeah, lvl 90s come and two shoot me, but thats just the price of it. Getting kiled sometimes to get free items some other times

    EDIT: Also, Saitada, 1256 posts dont prove that you kinda live in the forums???

    As a matter of fact, when I started playing PWI "PvP" and "PvE" had no meaning to me (me<--- total noob). Happens all the time, most likely... FTP is easy to access, no cash involved - good way to start with MMO. Knowing the acronyms and secret language comes later b:chuckle

    True enough. For me though, I knew the terms from watching the .**** anime before trying an MMO, so I knew them beforehand. Didn't occur to me that someone could jump in an MMO totally not knowing any lingo till it was pointed out to meb:surrender Yeah, I'm kinda oblivious like thatb:laugh

    Though he went through 30 levels before knowing. On the other hand, that could be blamed on discouraging player communication till later levels.

    Its funny about this thread since I had the opposite happen to me. I was igonorant when I started the game and did not research the servers and chose HT. Once I was around 30 I could not figure out why there were not many people kiling each other. I found out that I was on a nondedicated PVP server.

    I tried with it but it just was not my niche and rolled into LC and have been happy since.

    By the by to everyone fighting with Sait, have you not all realized that he/she just enjoys this kind of thing. He pointed out someone in a direct form and so many of you feel the need to soften ones direct comments which were initially not even rude.

    All you defenders of the little people need to suck it up and move on.

    After awhile you will realize that without the bad guys, the game would not be quite as fun. Ohh and start a personal KOS list. With the expansion coming out you may just outlevel them while they work on their new char. Then YOU can bring the pain
