1str 1dex 8vit

OK so I just started leveling a barb and I want it to be full tank. So far the stickied guides only say to go with the minimum DEX/STR requirements and rest into VIT. However, instead of running back to the tailor or blacksmith after each level I was wondering if 1 STR 1 DEX 8 VIT every 2 levels would work, or maybe more STR less VIT? Comment with suggestions please.

You will need more STR if you wish to wear the lvl appropriate heavy armor.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

So how much would you recommend? 3STR 1DEX 6VIT every 2 levels?0

I know there are but none of them give a stat build for tank build, they all just say to go with the minimum DEX/STR requirement and I don't want to have to go back to the tailor or blacksmith all the time to see what I need to get for each level, better to have a set build.0 -
What I do on my Veno is check the amount of STR and level I need to wear my next pair of boots (they have the highest STR requirement per set) and add my points when I change armor. For example, I used the free quest armor at the beginning and the next boots were level 10 requirement with X STR needed (I honestly can't remember at this point). I added my points into STR right then and there and dumped the rest into MAG from that point on, until level 10. Then I looked at the NEXT set the same way, added my points, then continued to dump into MAG.
You can probably get away with doing the same thing, except you'll be adding in your STR and DEX requirements early and dumping the rest into VIT. Other options you can take are finding/making equipment with -% requirements and/or using gear with +STR and +DEX to full your requirements and dumping more into VIT.God of healing, bless those that stand before you...

you should have asked me in-game -.-
You should only waste 1 dex point every 2 levels. Then you waste on STR. till the str. needed for weapon (usually it will be 3 str. per level), the rest is used in Vit.
Its something like 1 dex, 6 str. and 3 vit every 2 levels (very near this).
Usually on 80+ levels some players set dex to be 60 or 80 instead of 49 end dex game.Happy Sauce face

Did you even bother to read the stickies? b:tired
Theres a level by level recommended stat table in there for those too damn lazy to actually plan and build themselves.
You can only ever get the best build for you (everyone's is slightly different) when you go to the blacksmith/auctionhouse/pwidatabase once every few levels and plan 10 levels ahead for the next set of equips.When the going gets tough; Get a tank!

I'm sorry, I didn't know people weren't allowed to ask questions.... I will try to refrain from now on b:shutup. Forgive me oh great and powerful Barbarian.... I will never speak again as long as you desire. Please take my most serious condolences...
Now, there was no reason to go all IMO. Why is it so wrong to ask for opinions of barbs who are more experienced? Yes, I am a noob barb I'm willing to admit that, but I also don't go trolling forums wanting to insult somebody with every word. Please try and think construtive instead of destructive and maybe your point will get across the way you wish.0 -

I'm sorry I don't mean to be rude, but when you ask a question thats answered on the second post of the first page of the stickies it does make me wonder.
Nothing wrong in asking questions, everyones was a newbie once, and asking for opinions is always a good thing, but this is a topic that has been beaten to death in those stickies and various other posts here and the general consensus is:
Use the weapon requirements to plan your stats. Only you can do that because your equipments might have different bonuses.
For those who don't care about squeezing out every last point of vit there is a generic build and that is posted here in the sticky. It assumes you will use dual axes. You will still have to make variations if you use a different weapon type.
For those not planning to go tanker barb there are a fixed per level X & Y set of builds listed too.

min str per level for axes is min dex for your axes is .5 per level so 6 str 1 dex 3 vit per level

If you want purley as much hp as possible cap your str and dex too TT90 armor and use calamaties. With this build you list you wont be able too use a good quility off armor so you will get less hp and elemental res(We despretly need it) from your equips.
and I doubt that you'd ever get your str high enough too use TT90 green or TT80 gold and the points you'll get in vit wont be sufficant too justafie it imo.0 -
Best way to add stats no matter what build your going for:
3 str 1 vit 1 dex until lvl 60 or 80, once you've got your desired dex then go 3 str 2 vit.
If you're going for hp you can make up any little lost hp with your armors!
I've been doing this system since lvl 1. I have just over of 16k hp (buffed tiger/demon true form) and 4k-7k phys attack at lvl 91.
EDIT: Exact Stats:
13303/16387 HP - 4103/7060 Phys AttackIt's a game and I'm proud to be a stupid fail demon barb!
My EPIC Fail Demon Barb has 40k/48k HP and my stat points are as follows:

Min str and dex for equipping, all the rest in vit.

second column - str points (at that level)
third colum - dex points (at that level)
fourth column - vit points (at that level)
not that hard to comprehend at all. seems level 55 was skipped though for some odd reason. b:laugh only reason i noticed was because I was going to compare my build to what it lists here. I use the following formula:
STR = My level * 3 + 2
DEX = My level / 2 + 5 (rounding up to next whole number)
therefore at 55:
STR = 167
DEX = 33
these numbers are precisely what I need if I were to wear NPC gear if it happened to be sold to me at that level. Basically, I add points as such:
Even levels = 3 str 2 vit
Odd levels = 3 str 1 vit 1 dex
(this is 6 str, 3 vit, 1 dex per two levels)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i wanna correct this,
is not the exact value of your VIT but the excess from the 5 stat point gained that level
as u see:
at lvl 1 u have 5str - 5dex - 0vit
this doesnt means u have 0 vit at lvl1 BUT that u HAVENT PUT any into vit at that level
at lvl 2 u have 6str - 5dex - 4vit
this means u have gained 5 stats point reaching the lvl2 and u have to put 1 of those into STR and the 4 left into VIT
so at lvl 3 u have 10stat point more than the lvl 1
L1 5 5 0 = 10stat point (starting)
L3 8 5 7 = 20stat point
and
from lvl15 u have 40str - 10dex - 30excess
to level 21 u have 65str - 15dex - 30excess
u wont put any stat into VIT cuz ull need to pump str for 19FB poleaxe
and ur VIT value will be:
excess stat point + initial value + evetual bonuses from equip[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

ahh, that you are correct about - silly me for not thinking about that. so essentially (to clarify) the excess column would be your "leftover unallocated points" not being put into dex or str. For a tank then your base VIT would equal the excess column for a specific level + 5 (to account for starting points)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I know that people have already posted out the formulas and the level reqs, but for those of you out there that don't understand them or don't want to take the time to figure it all out, here are the point allocations per level, to 105, for the standard Tank build:
Lvl Str Dex Vit (what's left over) 1 - - - 2 1 0 4 3 2 0 3 4 1 0 4 5 3 1 1 6 0 0 5 7 4 0 1 8 0 1 4 9 4 0 1 10 0 0 5 11 4 1 0 12 4 1 0 13 5 0 0 14 3 0 2 15 4 1 0 16 4 1 0 17 4 1 0 18 4 1 0 19 4 1 0 20 4 1 0 21 5 0 0 22 1 1 3 23 4 0 1 24 4 1 0 25 0 0 5 26 5 0 0 27 4 1 0 28 3 0 2 29 4 0 1 30 2 1 2 31 3 1 1 32 1 0 4 33 4 1 0 34 4 1 0 35 0 0 5 36 3 2 0 37 3 2 0 38 5 0 0 39 5 0 0 40 0 0 5 41 5 0 0 42 2 0 3 43 2 0 3 44 5 0 0 45 5 0 0 46 0 5 0 47 4 1 0 48 3 0 2 49 5 0 0 50 0 0 5 51 4 0 1 52 5 0 0 53 0 0 5 54 4 0 1 55 0 0 5 56 5 0 0 57 4 1 0 58 3 0 2 59 5 0 0 60 1 1 3 61 3 1 1 62 0 3 2 63 4 0 1 64 5 0 0 65 0 0 5 66 4 0 1 67 5 0 0 68 5 0 0 69 4 1 0 70 0 0 5 71 3 2 0 72 5 0 0 73 0 5 0 74 4 1 0 75 5 0 0 76 3 2 0 77 4 1 0 78 5 0 0 79 5 0 0 80 0 0 5 81 0 0 5 82 4 0 1 83 2 3 0 84 4 1 0 85 5 0 0 86 2 1 2 87 4 1 0 88 5 0 0 89 5 0 0 90 0 0 5 91 0 2 3 92 0 0 5 93 4 1 0 94 4 1 0 95 5 0 0 96 4 1 0 97 4 1 0 98 5 0 0 99 5 0 0 100 0 0 5 101 0 0 5 102 0 0 5 103 1 0 4 104 5 0 0 105 0 0 5
These will get you to each level requirement on schedule, with the exception of a few spots where you may need to wait a level to get the most current weapon.0 -

u need at least 2.5 str per lvl to wear heavy armor, and .5 dex
so if u want a con (tank) build, per lvl;
str- 2.5
dex- .5
vit- 2
or if u also wanna wear a weapon of ur lvl;
str-3
dex-.5
vit- 1.50
