I've noticed something rather annoying about this game. And it is somewhat dampening my enjoyment of the game.
Babysitting. You know, higher leveled characters doing EVERYTHING for the lower level ones. This ranges from regular mob quest to boss quests and finally to FB's. Now, I can see why you may want the help of a higher level character on an FB equivalent to your level, but many of the cases are just ridiculous.
In my opinion, boss quests aren't something that need to be tackled the second you get them(they don't even have great exp awards). Unless we're talking about cultivation, you shouldn't really hear begging for these.
Mob quests, lol. I don't think I need to say much. You even get a heavy exp penalty for teaming up with a significantly higher level player.
And my ultimate rant, BH. Just to let you know, I'm only speaking from my experiences in BH 29. Today, I found a squad doing a BH29. In the squad was lvl 4x cleric, 4x BM, 4x archer, and me. Now, I've done BH29 before with just a BM and cleric, and it ran quite smoothly. Just as we were about to go, a lvl 8x veno came along and decided to help us out.
Now, I appreciate help as much as the next guy, but here is the thing that irked me a bit: we already had a fully functional squad, and we weren't some lvl 29 noobs doing FB 29, so the veno really didn't have to come. I felt as if the veno should have just let us experience the BH on our own. Besides, sharpening our dungeon skills is never a bad option.
I guess my whole point is, why have a higher level play the game for you? I know there are a few exceptions, but generally I believe it's better to play, learn from your mistakes, and develop into a better player. Enjoying it all the while...

I totally agree with you. I have seen a lvl 50+ watching as a lvl 60+ and 70+ do his quests for him. I mean seriously how lazy can you be. Stop playing the game if you are going to have someone else do it for you. Normal quests I squad with low lvls once. They got 1exp and no spirit. I dropped the squad and they QQ'ed about it. Seriously, though to the higher lvls. Let the low lvls work on it by themselves. Most just want to show off for the noobs that are learning the game. a guild doesn't need any player that wants to be babysat. it's one thing to help on doing something difficult, i've had my share of taking on faction barbs' and bms' pyrogoth quests because they suck that badly for barbs and bms, but just wanting help on mobs because "it'll take a long time"? **** no
it's really more of inconsiderate lowbies asking for help again and again on mob quests they don't really need help on, than high levels dropping their RB squads or TT squads or whatever it is that they are doing to rush to babysit the lowbies.Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

To some people that is showing you don't think they can do it, that takes away from the challenge in BH29. It's a start to show how you can work together for the same thing. Not how one person can do it for you.Why is the Rum gone? TELL ME NOW OR I WILL EAT YOUb:angry0 -

I'll tag along if a faction member or a friend PMs me and asks me if they want me to come. Or I'll let them choose whether to let me tag along or not. But throwing myself into someone else's dungeon run to show off just takes the fun out of fungeon. (Yeah, I said fungeon.)
If lowbies don't learn what to do NOW, they're screwed when the Barb starts getting debuffed and they spam Wellspring Surge. Or they drop sparks every five seconds with chi potions and quick building skills.

I like to help do things when I'm bored.. especially if it's stuff I used to find difficult. But I always warn people that they will get an exp drain from me, basically getting none because I'm there. And I love running 29 because it's so fast (I was doing it solo for a while because I was hoping for a fiend's ring mold drop and would occasionally run with people needing the bh who I happened upon in SP that couldn't find any help).
But I also feel it's good to be self-sufficient. On my low level alt, I tried to do Shade Eido by myself, even though I was pretty sure I couldn't. x.x; I just wanted to try before asking for help. And I managed to find someone else around my level who also needed it, and after a death, and coming back just in the nick of time, I got the quest completed. I want to help people, but I want them to know that they are capable of doing things themselves. I've always found that achieving something on your own or with people your own level is satisfying.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Lol, not at all. The only thing that really bugs me is when a player who is fully capable of doing something still begs someone else to do it for them. I wasn't mad at the veno for helping, it's just that we didn't need it. I figure it's better to let players learn how to run dungeons themselves sometimes.I've always found that achieving something on your own or with people your own level is satisfying.

I hate doing BH with a squad who seems to think that we NEED a couple guys 20 levels higher than the BH. Just yesterday my 6x cleric, a 6x BM, and a 5x archer killed Fushma without a death. I even dc'd for the first portion of the fight b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

How is that conceited? They want to learn with people THEIR lvl, not someone 40-50 lvls HIGHER than them. Come one, how is that fun, just sitting back letting someone else run your BH for you? if they don't want the highlvl's help, simply say "no thanks" and don't invite them into squad b:shutup
again, they are conceited for thinking in that particular way that you mentioned. you can't argue against that, as that is the definition of the term -shrugs-[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Most don't want the help yet you have the one person that will invite the person that is 50+ lvls higher than them to run the BH for them. Why because they are lazy. Some would rather do it, but at these times you get the lazy **** people that will want to let someone else do it for them. They shouldn't play. You want to solo the game? Fine.
You want to be in a squad with people of your own level? Fine.
You want to do quests along with people 50 lvls higher than you? Fine.

I used to help alot before the BH came out, now im too busy doing all my dailys so i dont have enough time to help other... but what i really really hate is when i get random pms "R: Could you please solo fb29 (39, 51, 59) for me pls? Me: ??? lol? get a squad! R: c'mon i know u can do it in 10 min, it would take me half an hour with squad
So im asking my self... who is the selfish here? me for not going or them for not doing it with a squad (being helped and helping other ppl of same lvl) b:angry[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

This so reminds me of a newbie a few days ago that accosted me at Timberfield.
Four quests later, he got angry at me (actually tossed a hissy fit) because 1) I wanted to bring in a squad of lower levels from faction for his FB, 2) because I had to go for lunch.

Most higher lvls join a BH because they are asked to, like I kept being asked almost every single day by friends/guildies who didn't want to look for a squad. I helped a few times but there has to be a limit, so I stopped helping people with quests/BHs. If you are too lazy to find a squad then don't do BH, simple as that, I only do mine every few days when I feel like it, I don't go around begging higher lvl friends to stop doing everything they are doing just to help me.
If you are nice once then they consider you as their slave, like I had in faction a girl who asked for help with her fb39, we did the fb then she realises she didn't have the actual quest and that she only had the tabs. So she asks for help again, I wine her fb ( my own mats ), we get the bosses killed, she gets her quest done, but guess what? Next day she wakes up saying she also needs mobs inside cause she didn't take the quest the first time, again. Anyway I was busy, and sick of helping her with every random quest she had, so I tell her to wait for someone else's fb to get the mobs she needed. Well after I said that ( and refused to help her for the first time ), she said I was a mean person and that she doesn't like me anymore ( lolololol ). I forgot to mention I also gave her a lvl 30 Crytaline Magmite which I lvled myself cause she didn't have a land pet. So there, help people and in the end when you don't have time to help you end up being treated like ****.
Oh one more thing, I got most of my bosses quest done 10-30 lvls later, while others want the quests done NAO! or else... they leave faction or whatever, not like I care anyway.0 -

As my sig says "My give a dam got busted!" and its all due to this kind of ppl... had so many in my previous faction that i got sick of it... now choosing a high lvl faction with ppl of same lvl range as me and being helped in the same time i help others is making the game fun and enjoyable ... some consider me ignorant now but i really dont give a dam b:chuckle[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

I don't see higher lvls babysitting all they are doing is getting XP and rep points.It is different when it comes to BHs though as you are playing with others closer to your lvl unless a guildie comes along that is higher up.Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.0

I was helping a level 14 cleric once... I was on my BM who is level 64.... So, since he isn't getting exp I hop on my other tiny cleric I had never really played on so he could actually earn exp. He must have told me like 4 times "I think we need your BM."
Two tiny clerics doing newbie quests. The only one at risk of death is me, because he was never paying attention. I think we should be fine. -_-;;
I don't think we ever even touched a boss quest and I think the more he said it, the less inclined I was to get my BM because of the amount of begging that would go on if I did. 0_O;

I don't mind helping with fbs, even though I hardly get any exp and I don't care about rep, but I do mind helping with BH when a person is too lazy to find a squad.0
