Is there a time limit penalty for quitting a faction before you can join a new one?

But is there a way to disable faction invitations? They're annoying, and about half the time I cannot even spot amongst the others where's the one who sent it, though he probably is in range somewhere.0

Disable the invitation? No, you can't do that. Luckily they have made it so that you see the name of who sent the invite. You can deny and talk to the person, waiting the 30 seconds for the faction invite to cycle. If you do want to join, you can after information has been given. Or...find a faction that you like, and then join. Voila, no more invites!I shall dominate the Dreamweaver server through the use of Baked goods...and only baked goods.^^[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
Venomancers are Female. Barbarians are male. It will forever be this way. So suck it up and deal with it already.0 -
100 hour limit counts off line time too right?darthpanda16: Firefox crashed on me. Aryannamage: I don't think I am a GM that would be new.
Hawk:Do this. closing thread
frankieraye: I'll see if we can replace the woman with a stick figure and the tiger fangs with marshmallows.//Issues like these need to get escalated quickly to minimize the damage.
Kantorek: Yeah.. you should try it. It's awesome.
Sihndra: Nope- not currently possible under any circumstances. Sorry.
LokisDottir: I mean...not haunting the forums, nope nope..
Konariraiden: You don't know what you are up against. You will lose.

I could have sworn there was an area to disable those, squad invites, friend invites etc... I'm not in game to check the options over though.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Well I wouldn't mind a normal invite but the vast majority does this "knock knock!" I click on "!" and there's this "doortodoorman" has sent you invite to join the faction "Annoyance" (names are made up) Ook Ill start to rotate the cam look for him is he near smith? no. near merchant? no. Near auction among others? no. I give up and scroll the chat for last minute to see has he talked to me to say who they are an what they do? No nothing. just "knock knock" from out of nowhere. Ok I think he might be among the mass of auctioneers but come on. I'm not gonna dig him outta there. And this is STANDARD faction invite that majority do.
The second trend is in dense mass of fighters like around Broken Bow "knock knock" oh-yeah "accept" a squad invite, now the quest gonna be swell. What? "you have been joined a faction?
the 3rd and rarest is PM "Hello I was wondering can i talk to you about a faction" Well my compliments to you guys you probably are the most decent ppl and though i'll level some more before joining anything- and least you're square with me. if there's gonna be any joining it's gonna be in the 3rd group. Others can just...stuff their invites up theirs! ^^0 -

Bingo.
The best cure I know of for stealth-faction-invites is to join a faction. There's more than a few derelict factions out there, some probably formed solely for this purpose.
I *think* that the options box setting 'ignore invites' also ignores faction invites - but it's annoying to turn it off for party invites.0 -
On the second thought I might start to write down the names of stealth-inviting factions and draw a little scoreboard. and when I've gathered enough- post it here. It would be interesting to know who the winner would be. Yep I'm gonna do it.0
