Which Build is Better for Wiz?

Well im going to make a Wizard on another server and im wondering which build is better?( Pure, or Hybrid)note-LA is not in my consideration. Another thing i saw that one of my friends is a lvl 79 wiz who is a pure build i was on my BM and i nearly killed him i was lvl 48 at the time but i also stunned and he then he one shot me.

    I was pure from beginning. I didn't know hot to play it. And I died 1M times. If I started again, I would go LA till level 80+. Then restat to pure. As a pure mage you be more dead, than live.b:laugh Try and you'll see.
    With another builds I have no experience.

    Give yourself vit at early levels (1vit per lvl) and cap it once you can distance shrink effectively. With NO phys res and low lvl Earth Barrier you're gonna get smashed, you'll need hp.

    If you can kite/pot mobs effectively from like 40-60 you'll be fine as pure. It's the best pve build anyways.

    Well actually the idea of building vit until i can blink does sound good i could always use reset notes if i need to.

    o.O yep me went from 1-73 so far as a pure and everything is just great.

    boom~!! LA automatically more expensive zmog! (and if you going to cash shop might as well just go pure and get charms + sell gold & get mold gear lols)
    also if you has either charisma, friendliness, or noob power. (me being a hamster automatically gives me friendliness and me has noob power.) makes being pure much better. Just squad up with random people all the time. you is more wanted then LA since you can fight longer (bigger mana pool + more mana regen) hit harder (means less attacks needed to kill things).
    but of course if you going against aoe bosses in TT or something then.... you be dead. (but who takes a wizard anyways.) b:surrender lols.

    but thats a problem only at 80+ when you running rebirth and probably you will have decent gear by then.

    errr well here's an opinion from a LA mage:

    a.) Light armor equipment is much cheaper than arcane gear (not sure why, it just is).

    b.) until lv 87 or so LA has higher survivability, you'll actually be able to do something in TW before you die. (what changes? being able to +5 a sky demon's pearl necklace (lv 87 mold) & +4 the lv 80 oht p.def belt in combination with +p.def adds on 2&3* gears will get your p.def reduction as high as LA gear)

    c.) damage is slightly gimped, but you won't really notice in PvP until the 80ish level range.

    d.) LA allows you to complete the daily rebirth quests, (2.5-3.5 hour instances that yield anywhere from 14% - 40% of your total exp depending on level & such), so yarr LA will help you to level a lot faster.

    ...but you said you going pure so... have fun.

    ok so ive spent mabey 3 weeks on my LA wizard and im lvl 34
    LA has given me no complications at all and i think its great
    With an increased physical def. you can actualy stay alive long enough to actually kill someone that tries to pk you.
    And the increased crit pretty much makes up for the minor loss of magic attack.
    Im not sayin that LA is better then Pure but hybrid is a poor build.
    ps. any1 who puts vitality on a wiz is **** cause you only get 10 hp per poin of vit. 50vit=500hp=dumba$$

    What about HA wizard? I've had one of those for a while, and I have no complaints. I have enough mag, str, and dex to wear whichever armor I please. This takes out a lot of the damage problem. I'm not as squishy :3

    Yea I know one problem you'll have as soon as you hit 20, taking forever to kill mobs for your culty quest b:laugh

    On a serious note, there is no reason why arcane can't be a good build for rebirth at 70+ or whichever level you start doing them. I've also never had a problem getting gears. Molders are the only ones that are expensive to buy,
    3*** gears aren't hard to get cheap, shop ahead and wait for deals, works for me.

    Pure arcane is the only way imo. I'm arcane and about to hit 60. Now I need to start buying heiros b:cry
