Best way to drop molds.

Can you tell me what is the best way to drop molds? i ve done so many bh's but havent dropped.But dropped 3 stars items at my lvl 50 fb.

    Easiest way to drop molds:
    Click and hold the mouse key over the selected mold. Then drag it onto the ground. Let go of the left mouse key and you're good to go.

    All drops for stuff are random, not sure there is a best way to get them to drop.

    Be lucky.
    Seriulsy, the change of getting a mold is really small (and than you'd have to fight over it with you BH squad to b:chuckle )

    not sure but some squad ive been with keep spamming me with "DONT PICK MOB DROPS OMFG DONT PICK DROPS, BOSS GONNA DROP MOLD IF YOU DONT PIIICK"<~~only had 1 mold drop, but i had picked some drops :/

    Yep, lower levels increase the drop rate - though the drop rate is still tiny.

    The "Do not pick up the mob drops" thing seems to be a server specific bit of madness. Over on dream we seem to have "Do not use the bless box"

    I'm pretty sure both are as reliable as the pumpkinhead pills.

    I used to run the low level alts for my guild through FB51 trying to get a Helmet mold to drop, had no luck for months.

    Until the day I died just before the boss.b:beatup
    Seems that if I am the highest level, and die or drop squad, or teleport out just before the boss kicks it, the two much lower levels suddenly have a high chance of getting it.

    If I'm the LOWEST in the squad, and deal the most damage, I get better drops.
    (I've been wanting to try soloing wurlord :D )

    sit on your **** but make sure your legs dont touch the ground. Best way. ps. make sure to sway diagonally.

    methinks the odds of seeing molds drop on BH runs where the whole squad is above the proper level for the fb, makes it rarer to see molds drop. But then again, I did two BH Wyvern's on my veno and saw the same mold drop twice within a matter of a couple hours, and we were all in the upper 60's.

    doing FB runs for my faction, I've seen a mold drop on nearly every run except for my own. I'd like to say this is because we don't bring along higher level players for our FB's. We do em at level appropriate range.

    Get a red named friend who has no Guardian Angels, but has a mold.
    Ask her/him if you could kill her/him.
    Kill her/him til he drops the mold.
    Mold drops.
    Pick up mold.

    Here is a good description of chances of drops from mobs and bosses. http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/drop
    The very last sentance at the bottom of the page tells you the "additional drops" are independant of the usual drop calculations. Molds are in the "Additional Drop" category. Browse around the other tabs and you will see the TWO categories of "drops" and "additional drops" from mobs and bosses. However, in my experience, molds have never dropped unless other items dropped. Bosses always drop lots of piles of coins, but I have never seen a boss drop just coin AND a mold. Yes, there is always a chance at getting drops from the bosses, but lower level parties have better chances.

    Actually, boss mold drops are Default drops. Only the incredibly rare mob-dropped molds fall into the Additional Drop category. Note that bosses have a chance at dropping the mob-dropped molds as well.

    1. Talk to old man in Viridian City
    2. Fly to cinnabar island and surf right ont he coast of the eastern shore
    3. Fight Missingno
    4. Go back and talk to old guy
    5. ???
    6. Profit

    In my fb 39 I got to hear that trioc was AOE (which he isn't btw >__> ) so I didn't lay a single strike on him.

    I don't get all these rumours. Let's say you follow one and 1 out of 10 bosses drops a mold, and you do whatever you want on the other 10 runs and still see a mold or two. Other than double drops and a not so high level squad I can't really believe anything else influences the drops. They are random and why on earth would the game actually have something that increases drop rates besides double drop and level difference..

    Even if you use the methods of a rumour, how can you be sure it's exactly because of that why molds will drop ? It's not really exact science. Since nothing can be really confirmed unless by the PW staff themselves, I am inclined to not take rumours seriously. And from a profit point of view I doubt they would ever want something like that to be in the game.

    I do a lot of bh29's for friends and I've noticed if I leave a little health and stop attacking ... and they kill the boss... we get super drops. Dunno how reliable that is .. just what I've noticed. I just sit back and let the boss bombard me with rocks .. its fun. I also like the realistic way that my character rocks back as if she's really been hit hard. I honestly try that in all the fb/bh's I run and it works better then if I spam attack. <3
