ok im new to the game but i can already tell that i will not have enough spirit to master all the weapon attacks and skill. I also see i will not be able to use my same level of the 4 diffrent types of weapons. My question is which weapon is good for pvp and pve. When answering please dont just say axe, and tell me because its the best, i want to know why.

i think fist are best especially if you get the - interval gear you do massive dps if you need proof take a look at swordman on dreamweaver.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Everything has its beginnings, but it doesn't start at one. It starts long before that... The world is born From zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes 2. 2 becomes 10. 10 becomes 100. taking it all back to one solves nothing. so long as zero remains... One.. Will eventually grow to 100 again.0 -
but that gear has to be expensive, and reading through the site i found out that polearms and/or swords will be the best for me. Also thank you for not just saying "axe because its the best" like i get in game when i ask people0

Axes or pole for aoe grinding (fast leveling)
Axes and fist for PvP ( even if a pure fist Bm the extra stun of axes helps in PK )
Sword or fists for tanking bosses or DDing on bosses ( having axes helps for this aswell since you can Sword/fist DD with theirs high Dps, switch to axes to heavenflame to amp dmg then switch back )
Tbh its a hard choice to make and all depends on what you like and your playing style0 -
You will need Axe regardless. If you chose to dual weapon, then theres many ways to go, but Axes are required.
The reason for this is Rebirth Delta. All other places (as far as i'm aware) weapon is not a huge concern. But in Rebirth Delta, Axe BMs are needed for the fact that they have enough different 360 degree AoEs to be able to continually spam. You will need all of them in addition to Roar & Alpha Mate to hold aggro as that is your role in Rebirth.
Now you might say to yourself; "But i dont ever plan to go on Rebirth so its not an issue." Unfortunately i found out the hard way that this isnt so simple. When you hit 90 you begin a continuation to the Chrono series of quests to access additional Maps. The final step to reach Unicorn Forst is Rebirth Delta Stage 4 boss. Then later you need even later bosses of Rebirth Delta to be able to access Valley of the Scarred. Finally you need to come close to completeing Rebirth Delta to fulfill the requirements of reaching Moonshade Desert. In addition to all the above, you need to be able to reach a dig (i think during stage 5, not sure as i'm not 100) in Rebirth Delta to do your Culti 100.
I wont get into the debate on which weapon has the best damage output. Which weapon can do X or Y better. The fact is you will not be taken to do Rebirth Delta if you can not weild Axes. And you will be locked out of alot of high level content if you are unable to do the Rebirth quest requirements.
Choose whatever weapon you wish 1-90. Choose any weapon you wish in addition to Axes 90+. Just make sure that you can weild Axes 90+ (either solely or additionally).0 -
Honestly I would pick axes as main/1st path, keyword 1st path.
Using axes will allow u to kill fast, deal good spike damage. Will also allow you to use and have skills for the "free" lvl50 dual hammer GS wep, which is pretty good.
You will have a slight advantage when it comes to AOEing, being able to take multiple mobs at the same time.
Axes are pretty geat in pvp too, chance to stun luck etc.
Also having good axe skills will be REALLY helpful for RBs, i never really tried RB prior to Gamma, but once in gamma ur axe skills will be needed to make runs go more smoothly.
That said, when ur 71+(when u can do RB gamma) u will be getting roughly 400k spirit for a completed run, geat way to max skills.
Now I wouldnt stick to a single path, my secondary path, and gotta say the one i like the most are fist, they are just amazing. No time to write about them though o:
Poles I gotta say they are great to, 2nd best in AOE, 2 really useful skills like Farstike(have this one and i use it alot) whih is a ncie range skill, and meteor rush, anoher great skill to push mobs.
Swords I havent had the time to look much into, asie the fact the the dmg in skills is a bit insane =P.0 -

I"m sorry to have to say. Since your asking for a weapon that does well at both PvP and PvE I suggest axes.
PvE - AoE's with axes you will be able to solo grind mobs at latter levels allowing for quick experience gain. (Although how much this matters anymore idk. With the BH's out now. People gain exp so fast and effortlessly its ridiculous.)
PvP - With high spike damage axes have more of a chance to bust through someones charm. And you get an extra stun.
Also, during TW axes aoe's are much needed for group killing.
I use all the weapons. I love all of them. Each has its place. But it takes a lot of time, work, patience to get the skills you need. Also a bunch of work to make sure you have good weapons of each path. (Sometimes I want to b:cry)
Anyway's,
Bottom line is pick a path that you will have fun playing. But plan stat distribution to be able to branch into other weapon classes once you get up past 60. Fists are the easiest path to branch into. All you need is level 1 skills up to shadowless kick. And weapon mastery and you are pretty much set..
Good luck.Retired
