Little HERC info

Hiya! I'm Lady_Sam.
I'm quite lucky for a venomancer, my adoring (IRL) husband who also plays PWI decided that I deserved a hercules. I've got him, named him Spirit and straight away I adore him.
I have a little problem though...
I've heard that venomancers usually train their legendary pets in Cube Room 4 because of the mobs with easy kills but full exp. But isn't this for like 70+? At the moment I'm training herc in FB19 mobs and now that I've got him to level 23, he actually survives against mobs in my own quests (Tauroc Leaders etc.)
I sound a little noobish, and I admit I am. I know how to lure though, amp bosses and I'm not stealing aggro off my newby herc. :P
I just have a few questions that I hope someone'll give me some insight on.
1) What is Cube room 4?
2) If I can get there, how do I do it?
3) If not, any suggestions as to where to train him to my level?
Thanks in advance. I am level 47 at the moment.
Thanks to my adoring husband. Lord_Wargs b:shy

It's not too hard to raise it to your level. Usually cube room 4 is used for high level venomancers who finally get herc and have to train it 80 or 90 levels at once. The cube does start at level 40 however.
I would just suggest fighting things at or above the hercs level. It's a pretty amazing pet, so you shouldn't have any trouble. Also, all mobs give the same exp to the pet, so don't worry about getting more from elites or whatever. Just make sure the mob is the pets level or higher and kill whatever dies the quickest. Also make sure it's loyalty is above 500, so the exp gain is maxed out.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
The family is a haven in a heartless world.

Ah right. Well I'll just raid broken bow bluff or something :P I'll ask about the cube once me and herc reach 80 xD He's got maxed loyalty, so it should be alright. Thanks for that info about the exp. I've been hunting down minibosses x_x;;
Thanks very much for the info!
(Well i realised its amazing once I saw those buffs :O! He holds his own pretty well against mobs twice his level too.)0 -
The Cube of Fate is a solo dungeon you can technically begin running at 40, but most people choose to run much later. It is a sequence of 50 rooms, the objective of which is to reach the last (50th) room. To advance, you must use dice tickets (1 mirage celestone = 2 tickets); the tickets are used to activate challenges in each room, which upon completion gives you a die allowing you to move a random number (1-6) of rooms ahead.
The fourth room in the cube of fate (the lobby being room #1) contains a large number of level 150 ( [?] ) mobs, which have paltry attack and all die in one hit. Ergo, no matter what level you or your pet is, you can quickly rack up kills for full pet-exp (15 per kill), allowing you to very quickly and easily level any land-pet (air pets are out of luck, as it's a dungeon).
To get there, you'll need to roll a 3 from the lobby, or reach Room 2/3, clear their challenges (very easy) and roll a 2 or 1, respectively. If you overshoot, as you have pretty low chances of clearing the entire dungeon, it would be advisable to use your Town Portal skill to return to the lobby and try again.
It shouldn't be hard to level your pet without it, but if you want to try something different and can spare the mirages it might be fun to try.
EDIT: Oh, and if nobody has told you, go buy a tome. Be it a Christmas tome, or one of the +5 stat tomes you can make cheaply at the moment, or any other kind - as long as you have one equipped you won't have to feed your pets (ie. the herc) to maintain its loyalty. It will only need to be fed to raise its loyalty (say, upon death, for instance).[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Questions 1-2 got answered already.
As for question 3 - find some pure melee mobs around level 30 for now. Scorpions and spiders near Hidden Orchid might be nice fot it. And do some aoe grind with Noxious Gas. Start with few mobs and get more to see its limits. You should be able to hit them in few hits and you might earn some money from dropped purified oils as well. When herc is around 5-10 levels below you, you can easly move on with your own quests and grinding as he will easly catch up.0 -
All your questions has been already answered.
I recommend you dustwrait mobs around Sundown Town, Dragon Wilderness if I didnt remind bad they are lv43 melee mobs
U can do solo zhen with herc to lv up it faster.
Buff your herc, set it at defend mode, green shield, then start to attack mobs, let the mob hit the herc and send it to attack another one more, bramble will keep aggro, once you got a bunch mobs hitting your herc, didnt forget healt it please xD, you can cast aoe skills to kill mobs more faster.
This must be enought to level up herc at your current level
Good luck b:bye[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I got a Herc by lvl 50, went to the cube (room 3) and started bashing till it has reached my level (50). b:pleased
So if you are willing to spend sometime in the cube, it's the fastest way which you do not have to run around.

You're very lucky to have a Herc. With the gold prices as they are now, over 500k each on the Sanctuary server, it would cost 100+ million coins to get one. Then when you're broke as a joke, you can start saving for a Nix. b:angry0
-
You think Sanctuary is the only server with ridiculous prices. All of the servers have inflated gold prices because of, first, the anniversary packs and then, secondly the halloween event. Gold prices should go down once these events end. We can only hope.0
-
I already know this. The first time anny packs came out, gold went up to 400k each. The second time the anny packs came out, gold went up to 500k each. Now after the release of the Halloween packs, gold is over 500k each. I have voiced my opinions about this over and over and over. Many have left the game because of it. I no longer play; just sit around trying to sell stuff mostly. Gold better go down soon.0

Actually, I spent 125 USD for my Herc, during battle pet sale.
To me, I think Herc is a worthwhile investment and the Halloween clothings are just extras, which looks aesthically pleasing, but serve little purpose at all.
All in all, if anyone is looking for a herc, just wait till battle pet packs are on sale and get it with RL money rather than wasting a huge chunck of coins. Those 100 million could be used for upgrades at a later stage, if you are playing into that far into the game.0 -
Hmm...How often do Battle Pet packs go on sale? Is it like a once-a-year type of thing?0
-
They were on sale 2-3 times back in the spring or over the summer I think. It's not very frequent but let's just say it happens once a season?0
-
You remember what the prices were on those packs? Right now they're 50 silver each I believe.0
-
I think they only reduce it by 10 silver, not sure. I saved coin and bought like 100-200 SoF/PF at a time for 2k-2.1k if I could find it that cheap.0

During sales, they were at 40 silver each. With a bit of luck, you might do it below USD 110 b:victory0 -

We had a sale just the other week, too. So yes, they're every couple of months and worth waiting for.
If you're buying with real world money, you should also wait for the periodic zen sales (more gold for your $) - we've not had one of those for a while, so we're probably just about due.0 -

Actually, you're right about that. My husband paid 110mil in the end, I think. xD I told him to wait, but eh, he said I might make an okay veno one day.
Who knows, only time will tell.
Thanks all for your great advice!0
