Time passage on PWI

I've been wondering this for a very long time now: does the time on PWI pass the same as real life?

Because night doesn't last 12hrs +/-. Most of the time it appears to be a bright and sunny day with night lasting only a few hours. I've never timed it though and I feel I should. (I get irritated by night time in game.

That's not what I was asking for... I mean like... say an hour passes in real life... Does the time advance one hour on the game too? I'm asking this because sometimes it seems like 15 or 30 mins would just pass and the game advances an hour...na if u play long enough (no lifing ftw?) ull c it changes night to day fairly quick

The time you see in the top right corner is based on the ingame day/night system. The days in PWI are shorter than ours by a lot.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Tiggy hit 89 already. I just don't like Night because I get a little more disoriented. Dawn and dusk are my favorite though. 0

Day/Night cycle is faster than real life, though I've never bothered taking the time to see by how much (especially with areas like flag hill around where it's always night)
Time itself (IE: Auction house, quest timers, exp scrolls, buff durations, the 24-hour cycle for when dalies can berepeated, etc) goes the same ingame as out of it.0 -
i dont mind night ingame, unless im in certain areas that are foggy, like the swamp, or in the sanctuary area...*why* is it so dark there, anyway?! but i think dawn is so pretty...most of my SSs are taken at dawn, with the pretty colours and bright air.LongWushi - Heavens Tear wrote: »Tiggy hit 89 already. At the top right corner theres a little symbol of a sun/moon. Hover the mouse on that and it shows the time. ie "Late night-2 o'clock". "Mid-morning-10 o'clock" etc.
So while your playing put your mouse on it to see the time. Then an hour later look at the time again and see how many hours has passed[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Why not? Beside the fact that you can enjoy the beautiful environment, there are always spots where you can combine the observance of the PW sky, to determine the time cycles, with the observance of your fellow players. I recommend to take a spot such as the wicket pirate place on shattered jade shore to see how kids go crazy about ks'ing each other, or grab some popcorn and watch mid 20s run and die from werwolf spearmen near the mines - it would surely be worth your time

Btw: When I was getting pirates on my main one week ago I took a break whenever the place became overcrowded. Well, to be honest it's a LOT faster, since recently a year in-game has passed in about a month or so RL.0
