I've had this problem for a while, but nobody seems to know what's going on. Sometimes my laptop would shut down randomly when I'm playing PWI. Have no idea what's going on, But I do notice a trend on when it shuts down, sometimes it would shutdown when I enter a city. Earlier I was in archosaur and it was fine, then I teled to city of lost for wq and it shut off. Then later I teled to etherblade, shut off again. Maybe it has to do with the map or something? I think it does because sometimes when I go to different areas, it would shut off. I've done a verify on the launcher and everything came out fine. I'm running windows 7 home premium 64 bit, recently did a clean install from windows vista 64 bit. Happens the same on my vista also. If anyone knows a solution that would be nice b:thanks

Here's my direct x to see my laptop's info:

according to your hardware, the game should run just fine O_o

have you tried running a verify from the updater?

it may be windows 7... also 64-bit is well-known to have issues with gaming

    Okay I'll send a ticket =P

My laptop just shut off 2 more times in last 10 minutes lol

One is when I teled to arrowhead minor and flew to tusk, shut off at king's hill. From tusk to dreaming cloud, shut off again lol. Pretty sure it's something with the map :P

Go to Dell's website and see what the latest drivers and updates that they have for your Studio 1535.

Your laptop's weak part is the video chipset.

See if you can get anything more updated for your system. Video and audio drivers, networking, etc.

Try changing the graphic settings to the lowest with everything turned off and see if that helps.

We do not see anything wrong with your system, or the programs running on it.

Your system could be overheating or malfunctioning, as it isn't designed for intensive 3d games.

    Hope that helps some!

Alright, I see you're using Windows. I've had this same problem with my own laptop. For me, the problem was Windows doing automatic updates. The default settings for them download them, install them, then give you ~30 seconds to stop it from restarting automatically (restart is usually needed to complete updates). The trick is, while running PW, the message box with the button that says "Restart Later" is hidden behind PW so you don't see it.

If that is what is happening, you can solve it by changing your automatic update settings to wait for your input to install.

Thanks but it's not that, if it was that, everything would close and windows would restart as if I had done it, but it doesn't, it just shuts off, and when I start it back up, it just says something like windows was not properly shut down or something.

Is your laptop warm/hot when you touch it while the laptop has been on for a while?

It's possible that your laptop is overheating when playing games that are intensive (although PWI isn't as intensive as the last MMO I played, it might be enough to push it over the edge). Go online and download a program like hwmonitor to check your laptop temperature. If it's above 60 to 70 degrees C, it's very likely overheating a bit and definitely overheating if it's 80 degrees C or above.

To fix the overheating problem, try cleaning out the fans with an air spray bottle (might not fix the problem), replace the fans, get a laptop cooling pad, set up an external fan to cool it down, etc.

Does the auto restart happen when you're not playing PWI? If it does, it's possible that a program that has finished updating might auto-restart your laptop to finish updating.

Are you underclocking/overclocking/undervolting your computer (if you don't know what any of those terms mean without looking it up, then the answer to this is no and it's not a possible problem)?

If you are doing any of those processes, it's possible that you're overdoing it and thus, causing the laptop to shut down when it's doing more intensive things.

Okay so I'm pretty sure it's a compatiblity issue or something. Laptop only shuts down when I am flying and entering a new area or I teleport from archosaur to plume for example. It doesn't always shut down my laptop but I do notice a trend though. It's really annoying, maybe it's because my laptop is 64 bit? I use to play on a 32 bit xp laptop but that one broke, so I'm stuck with this one b:cry

I don't know what else to do, sending a ticket didn't help much, they just told me stuff I already knew and it wasn't it. Can I do anything to make it so game thinks I'm on 32 bit laptop? I dont know..it's weird I'm the only one with this problem, I don't see anyone else on this forum with it
