I didn't know which to put this in, so hopefully this is right...
Hay una pregunta!!!
I'm not spanish but i like to use their words sometimes so leave me alone.
But anyways, everyone always says "don't ask if you've never done it before", but how are people supposed to learn if they've never done it and ppl won't add them. I guess they could lie but that would just end up pissin ppl off.
What to do?

Find another party to do it with. Get a bunch of people who are willing to learn and go. Or find a player that doesn't mind taking a new person.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

I find you basically you either have high level gamma running buddies or a very decent faction who will run you through or gtfo. =/
Which is strange considering the whining over lack of experienced players. All it needs is to take a few gamma newbs on a fake run or two, then mebbe once at the real thing to get the feel of it and bam you have a whole group of potential future squad members if you need one and you've done a good deed.
I gave up searching for help after three weeks of ignoring and "lol no". And I watch people spam tens of tele's for hours searching bm's. Their loss.Maiya - Lost City wrote: »Get a bunch of people who are willing to learn and go.
Guess that's worth a try.0 -
I'm in the same position as you ColdSteele. I keep asking for someone to teach me and NONE are willing. I have volunteered to go many of times with no luck. When I say I have no experience but I want to learn, I get the usual response of "oh, nvm then", "sorry" or "keep asking, someone will take you", then they go back to world chat looking for people when they could have spent just a few more minutes during the run to teach me. I know RBs take a few hours to do, but I can learn what to do pretty fast, I know how to play my class. I had read one post on here where a BM (I believe) was told to go watch Youtube videos then come back and ask. I was like "are you kidding me? That's like watching Bruce Lee movies and saying you know Kung Fu!!" So basically I'm just going to gather some people who want to learn and just have to do some failed runs until we learn how to do things, figure it out on our own I guess. Yes this was a bit of a rant, sorry. If we always do what we've always done,
We'll always get what we've always got~ (Unknown)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
No party want's an idiot to ruin the RB for all that's why they ask for experienced people. . A way to get experience is watching those videos on youtube about Rebirth , ,pay special attention to the character of your class of course.. Get a good bunch of Jiaozys and Sesame, some Dew of God's pots and if your an archer get tons of ammo, if your a barb your Hp charm and coin for repairs.. Yes you have to be a prepared player.. nobody wants a guy who goes to gamma with no charm, no pots no ammo no coins no nothing..
that's what i did.. went and watched the videos and then got in a team saying i was experienced LOL it worked!!!!! they ate it completely .. after a couple of full runs then i was Really experienced, of course you need certain amount of intelligence.0 -

Why would you be "an idiot" for being inexperienced. Just because I haven't done the run before doesn't mean I'm a nub who doesn't know my class. When I ask a squad nicely to help me learn rb, I've watched videos, got a charm, got jioazi, full dex ToP, alpha male, will+cloud sprint+holy path, teleport incense, maxed aoe's, 7k hp unbuffed and a few dew's. And still no.
Call me silly but somehow I don't feel right pretending I'm fully exp. ^^ I mean, for starters I'd like the squad to be aware, it's just common respect to the group and warns them so they're aware, as well as the fact they can give me helpful advice and tips.
Fuzz: I'm on on sanc too, and that bm you're referring to is me. We should start up an in-exp practice squad up sometime.0 -
Perfect then if you watched the videos you Know what to do. .that makes you experienced .. now go there and pretend! or you will never be truly experienced don't be afraid and don't bend before 'respect to other players' nobody in that game deserves respect, just use them to get what you want.. in this case your 1.5mil exp. b:victory good luck (they will only use you too... )0

Theres a nice Gamma guide on the Wiki but no guides for alpha/beta/delta.
ITs actually a pretty good guide and some youtube videos are actually good.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Ha lol. Why not. Guess I'll give it a shot
Worst comes to worse I make a bunch of people, who couldn't be bothered helping a fellow player for fear of their precious exp, who I don't even know, angry. Oh noes.
Thanks for talking sense into me. b:chuckle0 -
Since no one is willing to teach barbs how to do gamma. I'll use this post to teach you (don't let my cleric avatar fool you b:chuckle).
Things barbs need: about 9k-10k hp buffed, alpha male on genie, roar maxed, beastial rage, sunder, surf impact, slam, invoke, frighten, and hp charm with mp food and if possible with tranquilizing orbs.
Basic luring for most of the stages before double wave:
1. Run out up to the 2 way fork in the valley and wait for mobs to come.
2. run around in circle to gather them.
3. If about 1/3 of them come, Invoke and run around. Surf impact them when it reaches about 1/2 to 2/3 of the mobs, frighten, then Sunder. Turn on Beastial rage so you will get a 2k dmg shield after your hp drop over 1/2.
4. After this you run back pass the aoe just up to the archer. The mobs will follow you into aoe. When they get close you roar to take aggro, then use alpha male.
5. If there are too many mobs, Use tranquilizing orb right after you use alpha male so you can hold aggro while taking 0 dmg.
This method will work on all stages with some small changes at double wave.
For double wave, let 5-6 mobs go by you with out taking aggro. You do NOT run far into the valley because aura will not reach you. Instead, after you wait for the few mobs to pass you go aggro the rest (remember to invoke when it gets bad). BM will cover the mobs for you while you go out and the steps above. By the time you come back most of the first few mobs are almost dead. Your group has less to worry about.
If mobs don't all go into aoe, you go to human form to slam them or have earthquake skill on genie to move them into aoe. While you are in Aoe use surf impact to do some dmg so you can hold aggro.
Key thing, the more dmg you do before the mobs reach aoe, the more aggro you can hold away from wizard and cleric. NEVER run back without hitting the mobs. If you can't sunder, you have to use surf impact. Frighten helps alot to lower the dmg as well once they are in aoe.
Note to bm. Get Alpha male on you genie. Use tranquilizing orbs to take 0 dmg just like what the barb did. Barbs can't hold aggro for long once the skill are in cool down. If mobs go after wizard, you are the back up aggro and you need to turn on alpha male to protect the cleric and wizards. I suggest you don't aoe stun, because i found it to reset the aggro the barb created that means the next target is the wizard.
Btw this works in delta too except you use vacuity pills to keep from being stunned.
If you got untame wraith from lvl 79 skill for barb, use this to stack aggro after you roar. Then go tiger form and use alpha male.
-- PS I know some ppl are gonna get mad at me for teaching ppl how to do gamma. But this game is getting damn boring without it. Shouldn't it be more fair to allow ppl to learn it? >___>0 -
I've been trying to get into rebirth since level 40.
Alpha has passed.
Beta has passed.
That need to get six specific classes together in the same level range? It just aint happening.0 -
Very good, info, thanks for posting Doc.0

Yeah they should probably bother to sticky a guide or two in the dungeons section... maybe a sticky a thread with links to various guides as there are many ways to win gamma (it's too freakin easy tbh).0 -

Fuzz, Im right there with you. My archer husband and I have both been trying to get into a gamma run ourselves, but have not found anyone willing to help us. Myself, I have been in ONE actual gamma run. Got to the 5th boss and because the BM did not speak good english and it was his first run as well, things went bad. Our faction leader "tried" to teach my husband and I but neither of us could figure out if we were "baking radiators or changin cookies". We were both a little confused with it because the squad was not right with two veno's, two barbs, one archer and me as cleric (again training mission).
Personally I know what my roll as cleric is in gamma, but with hubby bein archer he isnt real sure about his roll outside the main room where he runs barrage. We both also like to know what everyone else is suppose to be doing. Makes things a little less confusing.
If you are looking for a "learning squad" for gamma, look me up. Hubby and I both are willing to run thru whether successful or unsuccessful. Either/or would be a learning experience.b:thanksb:pleased[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Thank you guys for wanting to teach me, weekends are my best times to play, I'll keep your names handy so I can send you a message, and yes luckily I'm on Sanctuary. There is me, another barb, and a cleric wanting to learn. If we always do what we've always done,

Get together with 5 other people who have never done it before, read the guides, and try it out.
First time, you will fail miserably
Second time, little bit better, still epic failure.
Eventually you will get the hang of it and be able to call yourselves experienced. The only way to win is to quit. b:bye0 -

Bingo this is the way to learn it if you don't have a faction willing to teach you.
I myself do normaly 2 delta runs a night (1 to train faction members( Regeicide) 1 for my self).
So what if you fail, that's the game. Everybody has to learn. To bad there are some persons that think after one completed run they are pro's and will only go with other pro's....0 -

The AoE stun does not reset aggro. Most of the mobs in Gamma are not stunable anyways. But roar does draw aggro to BM. During the early waves, others will take almost no dmg if the BM roars on all the mobs then HF after a few secs to draw more aggro. This is not the case during later waves, but it WILL draw aggro of some mobs if not all of it. BM should be roaring as often as possible given that you are not wasting it when there's only a few mobs around.
About half of the earth wave during early stages and the whole earth wave from double wave and on are stunable and the stun keeps your squad safe. One of the reasons that barb delay right wave instead of left is that the left earth wave is stunable so much easier on the squad.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
