Shard Remover

OK so you spend tons of cash making/buying that beautiful, flawless, Immaculate, etc shard then you pay to put it in. Then the only way to remove it is to remove Every Shard in the gear and to add insult to injury... you don't get to keep the shards that were removed... So, I'd like to pay for a solvent/remover.... Have one for every level of shard quality...
This is their value if bought and combined at NPC's
01 Shabby 530 coins
02 Rough 1,590 coins
03 Blemished 4,770 coins
04 Common 14,310 coins
05 Average 57,240 coins
06 Beautiful 228,960 coins
07 Flawless 915,840 coins
08 Immaculate 4,579,200 coins
09 Perfect 22,896,000 coins
10 Incomparable 114,480,000 coins
11 Gem 686,880,000 coins
12 Stone 4,121,280,000 coins

So maybe make shabby remover for 1 coin, rough for 10, 40 for blemished, 143 for common, 572 for average, 2280 for beautiful... etc. or Base it off of what NPC's would buy them for.
Change the purify idea to a purify (remove all) or if use a solvent/remover then you select what you want removed. (have to remove each shard one at a time).

I agree. That would be a lot more convenient than purging items of all their gems. Also, why are the gems so expensive. Who is going to come up with 4 billion coins for 1 shard? No one; that's who.

You can farm world bosses from g9 stones and combine them. Much Much cheaper than combining and probably not as long too b:chuckle

Agreed. Making/Buying is really expensive to just toss it away once you get new armor.

And like Budika said, we should be able to keep the shards when they are removed. Maybe not all the lower ones, for instance if you remove a Flawless or higher gem from a piece of gear you should be able to retain the gem. Otherwise thats just money wasted.

Sorry to necro this thread, but I was going to make a thread of a similar suggestion regarding shards... Instead of making a new thread, I'll put it here.

How about instead of making the coin costs vary according to the shard levels (as the OP suggested), you pay varying amounts for a higher chance at getting the shard back.
i.e. there could be 3 options:
    1) Pay 25,000 coins for a 25% chance to remove 1 shard successfully
    2) Pay 100,000 coins for a 50% chance to remove 1 shard successfully
    3) Pay 250,000 coins for a 75% chance to remove 1 shard successfully

This way there would still be a chance at losing the shard (so their value would not fall through the floor from everyone just reusing the same shards).
