will Rising Tide wipe characters?

My friend told me today that rising tide is going to wipe all characters so that everyone goes back to zero im SO upset i just bought zen for my char and was gonna buy more, plus the whole reason i was playing was for endgame since im a wiz? Is this true!? Plz mods tell me it isnt!

    nope,wont happen.they may put a new server but i rlly havnt read up on it
