Sage or Demon???

I have seen the other thread but nobody has given much insight into it.

I was wondering which would be better for a barb, sage/demon? I am in a pvp server so that will definitely be happening which is why I'm leaning towards demon. Although I was wondering if it would take away from my ability to tank? Please give your thoughts here.

I know I'm only lvl 78 so I really have quite a bit of thinking time. Just starting preparations now.

    please read. I said that I had already searched it and that most opinions were like the one above... Sage FTW or Demon dominates. I want actual opinions please!

    it depends what you want to do, so its your choice which one you wanna choose, both are pretty good but basically Sage= Defensive and Demon= Offensive. Go to Ecatomb and read through the Sage and Demon skills or i believe there is a thread here that tells you

    I've read the information on ecatomb.com and was wondering if going demon would affect my tanking as i don't get the 120% def in tiger and things like that.

    well yeah Sage is better with the Tanking part, Demon barbs can still Tank easily just not as good as a Sage. Demon is more PKing

    It really depends on what path you want to take. Sage is about keeping ur self alive and tanking etc and demon is about attack and pvp. Personally i think if u can tank then u can pvp also because what good is it if you can attack but cant stay alive.

    you’ll do more of.
    However, it's also good to choose the one that will balance your build (offset your weaknesses)

    In general:
    Humanoid (more offensive) + Sage (more defensive) = balanced
    Tiger (more defensive) + Demon (more offensive) = balanced

    Some major benefits of each path:
    Sage version of Armageddon reduces HP and MP cost to 35% of your current total.
    Demon version of Armageddon does 10% extra damage

    Sage version of Blood Bath reduces HP sacrificed to 10%
    Demon version of Blood Bath increases accuracy by 300%

    Sage version of True Form always increases maximum HP by 40%
    Demon version of True Form lets tiger mode attacks do full damage

    Sage version of ShapeShifting Intensify always increases physical defense gain to 120%
    Demon version of ShapeShifting Intensify gives a critical hit rate increase of 2%

    Sage version of Beast King's Inspiration increases duration to 1 hour
    Demon version of Beast King's Inspiration lets affected party members gain 50% more Chi

    demon is crit power for pvp

    sage is more phy def and hp in tiger

    its honestly how you play your class


    im a demon barb and i like it
    but i havnt try sage yet so i cant tell you everything about it

    i think this is the fact:

    TANKING
    demon barb can tank easily and with the experience that u sure have gained levelling till 90 u can get away with it.

    sage barb can tank greatly and is just obvious that theyll do it fine

    DEALING
    demon barb can DD/pk greatly since theyll have increased crit rate and all the skills (which r maxed) r damage orientate

    sage barb can DD/pk good since theyll have more constant damage due to the mastery(+100%weapon dmg) and can resist better with theyr highest HP

    i personally prefer the DEMON path cuz of the nice DD, and at higher level what does count is not costant damage but higher spike damage since every1 will have a charm. then another thing with ull go nice with is the +refinement grade (if u can afford it) on ur equip which will give u the more HP bonuses.

    im not experienced in 90+ levels since im just a 78barb but i think that at later levels the thing will get a lil boring and the way to make it more fun is pvp/pk so ill definitely go DEMONb:laughb:victoryb:angry

    anothert thing, im in a PVE server but i dont care i wanna be demon b:dirty

    Well, being on-topic I would pretty much say what the previous posters said; if u are mainly Tanking and PvE oriented, go Sage for sure (is very useful in PvP too b:laugh). If u have more fun with DD'ing and PvP, go demon, simple. Though I'm working to be a Sage barb myself cuz I luv Tanking, PvE (and PvP too :P), helping lower lvl persons and my friends!b:victoryb:pleased

    PS: when I'm bored, I would PK too, PK red names that isb:sin
