    Sorry but luring Jewel is bannable. Its MPK (monster Player Killing). Which has been deemed by the GMs (and rightfully so) as an exploit, using a monster to circumvent the normal rules of Player Killing. In additional they've also deemed it as a form of Greifing, since in addition to killing them, you're also causing them to lose Experience. On PvP servers, the 1st portion of the offense doesnt exist except in a safezone, but on PvE servers, Bluename anywhere = PK safe (such as a PvP safezone). Now not everyone gets banned for killing others with a boss because it becomes very hard to tell if it was an intentional offense (accidental MPK is not bannable). However if it is obvious that is was intentional (ussually the offender has to admit it), then it can be banned for.

If you should fly by (whether on auto or just not paying attention) and pick up aggro, you're probably gonna keep going as long as possible hoping to lose it. Thats why just dragging it a long distance isnt by default bannable. The evidence that it was truely the person's intent to kill others really has to be there.

    Lesee... WQ spawn spot, player down really far near the ground, while still flying... The banter back and forth in this thread, the fact that Jewel does give up quite quickly if you really want to get away... I'd say lured.

    Oh, come on. Everyone and their mother has seen angel do this on multiple occasions. I'm glad that the GMs stepped up to the plate to do something about it.

    There are numerous other people in HT infamous for doing the same thing. I hope this deters them from continuing this type of BS.

    My second post where i clearly stated i was being devil's advocate (might wanna look that up sometime since you dont know what that means) was simply about the burden of proof. Guess what? if they start being subjective like you state, then innocent people will start getting banned in situations that just looked bad. I for one am glad that full direct proof is required before the banhammer comes & you should be as well. Also, read the thread a bit better, he wasnt banned for the jewel lure, he was banned for badmouthing GMs in World Chat, in a very spammy way, and circumventing the chat filter while doing it.

    Didn't see your prior post - my bad. I know what it means, but it's still ridiculous to even attempt to look at this from another perspective. There has been direct proof of angel doing this numerous times over a period of months... trying to make the argument that insufficient proof exists is inane.

    How many people have you seen banned for WC - and for that period of time nonetheless? A small minority? It seems more like a legacy punishment to me.

    Getting away from a boss is to easy. People lure chiin to orchid temple. Ive seen other lure yansheng and a few other bosses. Funny how nobody ever seems to think that if a boss cant fly...maybe you should. Non arial bosses can be avoided by flying as high as possible. Arial bosses that chase you over water can be avoided by flying very high then dropping into the water and swim to the bottom. If you dont wanna be blamed for luring a boss then maybe you should think of ways out in the event a boss starts chasing you. Ive been chased by jewels before. I got away by flying high, dropping at town of arrivals and teleporting out of there which obviously resulted in the boss resetting before it got low enough to kill anyone. Alot of times just dropping to the ground from the highest point will put enough distance between you causing it to reset.
    And as for chiin. That boss cant swim. So he should never make it to orchid temple unless intentionally lured.
