    No sadly its not a joke... seems the Higher ups saw there coffers a lil bare then normal and thought to create a event that would spike the gold prices to encourage the act of paying for zen to get the gold...

    just a observation that makes a lil sense...

    Kinda ironic, really. For 10 gold, you can go in-game and buy stuff that costs 20+ gold simply because of how chaotic things are right now.

    Beforehand, that 20 gold item would have cost you an actual 20 gold to get.
