Why using the flight?

I begin to Perfect World (1 small hour yesterday) international version.
I come to conquer on-line and I have not seen the interest of the flight in fight yet. For example, to CO, we did not receive damage in flight (except magic).

On Perfect World, monsters damage me even if I am in flight. Is there an interest to fly?

Other point, on the flight, it consumes of the mana. I saw two different answers on this subject:
1/to Increase the intelligence to have a compensation
2/to Increase the skill does not consume any more a mana

What proposition is correct?

Thank you for your help

You must be an archer. The level one wings for archers consume mana faster than they can regain it. You can add a bit of MAG to counter it, or just wait until you hit level 30 because those wings don't take any mana to use.

Some quests require you to kill flying mobs, so you can't avoid them forever. Mobs in the air give you 1.5x exp when you kill them as well.

If you want to avoid mobs while flying, you should fly at max hight (78). No mobs there, so you can easely set to auto path and go AFK till you arive (that's what's mostly great about flying, you don't have to watch the terrain while you're moving)

Don't increase your intelligence/mag... It's a waste and will gimp your archer imo... Just not by much, it's just that as an archer you'll probably be wanting to do as much damage as you can which means you'll want all the dex you can get.

As for the mana consumption and reason for flying, later in the game you'll get wings that don't take mana, and you need the wings to get around easier and to fight flying monsters later.

    Just remember 2 things:

    1) if you are flying and hit a ground monster. You will do 50% damage.

    2) Go full Dexerity: 4 Dex 1 Str every level. Your Str has to be your lvl +4.

Adding vit or magic is somehow a total waste. If you want more MP, get a MP/Arcane headgear later in game, and if u want more HP, you will shard your equipment at lvl 40+ using Average Citrines, and at lvl 69+ you will use Flawless Citrine. I guess 78+ is time for Inmmaculate? or is it 88+ ???
