quick easy poison question

when u get poisoned...how the hell do u get unpoisoned...are their antidote potions u can buy or sumthin...the giant spider/man guys are rapin me with their posion..what do i do and i gotta kill 30 of em for the see if im ready quest (im lvl 19)

    Run up and stun them. It'll interrupt the poison skill and they'll switch to normal melee attacks.

    thank you poly that helps ill give that a shot...and to centetric..ONE im a noob who doesnt know anyone to really play with..and 2 Obviously im not a cleric or i woulda known that..............

    ok but one more question...if im already posioned what can i do to "not die" lol...i tried goin to town (safe zone) and i still died...

    I'm guessing you're human, right? Since I don't think elves and untamed have spider mobs at that level.

    The best way to avoid poison is to prevent it. If you're a wizard, you should be able to kill the mob before it finishes casting the spell (just make sure you're using your spells at the best efficiency for its element... don't use spells of the same element the mob is, for example), and BMs have the handy stun ability.

    Also, buy lots of pots. If all else fails, gain a level in apothecary, and make a couple Life Powders.

    Purify is the only ability that actually gets rid of poison, and that's cleric only. Everyone else has to find other ways to deal with poison.

    well i guess buy TON of pots xD

    when my wiz go stuck because of a mob i bought him like 100 pots to use :P
    itll help and its a cheap alternative ... just gotta pot like crazy xD

    there is antidote pots, but they are not really worth the cost at your level. i think npc sells for 5-6k each.
    1. If I kill you; do something about it yourself, don't go complaining to my wife.

    3. If you are hiding behind an alt, don't expect me to acknowledge your existence.

    Araneids? Life powder is your friend in that case. Harvest 15 nectars and 10 golden herbs, take them to the apothecary, click manufacture remedy (or whatever it's called), choose life powder, get 5 life powders. Take a few HP pots with you in case you get too much poison stacked on you and watch out for that damn jumby.

    You don't need to do that quest though. As long as you have enough rep and your spiritual cultivation is high enough then you can do your FB19 (Call to Duty). Well, since you already started then you might as well finish (just so you know, you'll have to kill 30 giant ants after the spiders).

    he can be untamed too..... but, anyway, just try to stun if youre melee and if youre not.. use a pot lol

    sorry to have u all play the guessing game on me ;) (im davidquessy) but im a human blademaster.... and i guess what ill try is to lvl up a bit maybe...buy lotsa pots and stun the ***** out of em? also i dont know ANYTHING about manufacturing :( it sucks cuz that seems like it would help alot...also on that note i just chose to do "the way of the blacksmith" can i do all of them...and also how do i raise my manufacturing skill lvl (if thats what its called) im still kinda F'ed on the araneids till i maybe find a cleric to help me, but now i wanna know more bout manufacturing since that seems to be a crucial element to this game, i come from playing diablo 2 alot, and never played WoW or any other mmorpg for that matter so im new to all this....i just know how to kill ***** and complete quests lol, and dont get me started on how the hell that damn genie works lol....but any info on how i could understand manufacturing a lil easier would be awesome

    or i can always use more tips for those damn araneids and being poisoned...and living lol

    sorry for being a lowly newb but we all gotta start sumwhere right?

    It's nice to have someone who's so excited to learn here. Ikurei's instruction on how to make Life Powders should do pretty well for helping you with those pesky spiders.

    To learn a crafting skill, go to the Etherblade Elder and go to "quest related." It will give you an option to take up the four crafting skills (blacksmith, craftsman, tailor, apothecary)... you can do one, or all four, or any number in between. Just pick the ones that look appealing to you. You'll get a quest that will help you get the skill from there.

    Just keep in mind that you'll need materials for all of them, and that can take a little time. And make sure you buy a pickaxe from a Merchant, so that you can harvest.

    nice thank u flicker, uve been VERY helpful and i learn sumthin new bout this game everyday, so i guess instead of just tryin to go thru the game all quick like, ill slow down and try to learn more bout the game like manufacturing and such and look over those threads u put up, again thanks man :)

    There is a genie skill that lets you resist poison (wood immunity), I believe it takes 3 points of Wood affinity to get. Note that it does nothing to help you if you're already poisoned - it only prevents poison from being cast on you. Not a great skill, but it can buy you some time to close in on a mob or run away when several poison mobs spawn around you.

    Amusingly enough, the skill also makes you immune to the ranged attacks of Kugulus. Fun fact for the day.

    Sorry to dig out an old topic but I have some problems with this poison issue as well. I'm a lvl. 20 psychic tideborn and I can only learn Earth and Water skills so there's no quick way of killing wood creatures and I get poisoned. The first time it used up my whole charm the second time I died and lost my best weapon so killing these monsters is even harder now.

    So my question is where can you get that poison antidote because the Apothecary does not have it, and how do you get that genie skill, and how long does the effect last?
    Are there any other ways to avoid/cure a poison for a non-cleric?

    Before this is locked for neckro I can tell you the antidote pots can only be bought inside the tw instance or from a player who got them there.

    I assume the antidote pot is one of those high grade ones I can never ever find while searching through catshops at 1k (who usually have lotsa pots) so they'd be rather expensive and have a lv 75/90 requirement. So I'd say just pot like crazy, meditate in between mobs and wait till your pot isnt on cooldown.

    And I understand your acknowledgement of the rather large necro b:chuckle

    I recommend you to get the genie skill called Nullify Poison. At level 10 :
    Increases your natural affinity with the Wood Element.
    Become immune to Wood damage and anti-Wood effects for 7.0 seconds
    You can even use it for AoE grinding b:victory
    Closed for necro.
