New sales in CS

Instead of removing the Anni Packs, they added a sale on PH and BP? This will cause the Gold to increase even more, so all I can say is ROFLMAO!

That one makes sense to me.

The main problem of high gold prices is that 'vital' items become too pricey for new players.

Reducing the cost of hammers and pet packs and angels covers almost all of the 'vital' items (charms are the other one, and with packs providing both jiangzi and plat charms that's probably ok for now)

Of course - the reduction on hammers isn't enough to get it back to the 'I can aim for that by level 50' it used to be. (And never can be, due to the stash-of-coins boxes from cube/rebirth)

I've been waiting for a Battle Pet pack sale ever since prices started to surge at Jolly Jones (around early August). Prior to then, gold prices were 140-150k max. Now finally we get a Battle Pet Pack sale, i should be happy right?

However; 2 days ago, gold was 300k each. Packs were 50s each. Thereby each pack was 150k coin.

Today; Yay anniversary return! (/sarcasm). Gold is 450k each. Packs are 40s each. Thereby each pack is 180k coin.

Thanks PWI for your wonderful inverse sales where items cost more. Now you have an excuse not to put packs on sale for a while again. These packs used to be a big seller for you, and you've managed to ruin it.

too little too late..gold cost way to much..and the people who can afford/ or willing to spend cash are buying anniversary packs.

I have a feeling the sales are meant to counter gold prices, much like charm pack sales were during the last set of anniversary packs. A mere 20% off is nothing though, pet packs are usually 40% off and other items are 33% off.

Anyways, gold is currently 475k on DW. That means it's only 1938000 coin to buy a hammer to get 1 million coin, or a loss of 938k. Prior to the sale it was 1785000 coin to buy a hammer and get a million for a 785k loss. This sale does nothing. Infact, even if you bought gold while it was low, and are spending it now on the hammer, you would still be losing 400k. Hammers would need to cost 2 gold each to be worth it right now.

Hammer is a vital item? The hammer is itself a symbol of PWI's greed for money. The game was FINE without it. Vital? Haha.

Not really. There's going to be virtually no impact on gold prices from this. Pet packs before anniversary packs were 178500 each at 350k gold. Their sale price is 193800 each... an increase of 8.8%. Those buying gold with coin are either going to place the same demand on pet packs as they previously were, or less. Hammers like I pointed out above are as worthless as always.

this sale is something.. good. items that's can't be obtained in-game are going on sale. that's smart. selling items in the cash shop(the best in the game, at that) that are normally only obtainable in-game(though major instances, with lower drop rates+various difficulties) is what kills a server - as well as its economy. the same thing happened on myen, the same thing happened on ph.

Well yeah - coin-boxes mean that hammers can't cost less than 1m coin.

But you can reduce the cost down to 1m for a hammer (which would be, what, 2gold now?) without causing any problems, and only helping those who want to open the stash.

if you missed the original post, let me clear up my point:

this sale is for Golden Hammers, Battle Pet Packs, and I believe someone else mentioned something else. I am in no way supporting their sale of anniversary packs.

You've brought bk anniversary packs which quite frankly is the most pathetic idea ive seen GM's come up with yet, because unless GM's or the personnel incharge of them are seriously stupid, they would be quick to realise the point of an anniversary is that it happens ONCE a fricken year, as in you should have brought em bk NEXT YEAR!

But sure, bring it back kill the game and its fanbase even further, show us how really pathetic you are and how your only concern is ur next big paycheck.

And for the love of god, gold hammers down from 5 gold to 4 gold, woooow what a big drop, im sooooo impressed. Seriously sum1 put a gun to these morons heads and pull the trigger. I don't know whether their trying to help its fanbase or patronize us all.

Chest of coins should and only be an extra incentive to try and complete the cube of fate, as an 'extra' reward. Not give us a bloody item that we can't open only because we have ABSOLUTELY NO CHOICE but to buy a 'surprise surprise' -_- gold hammer from the boutique.

Either that or shoot urself in the foot tryin to buy 1 from a player who will sell it at an outrageous price there in losing more cash then gaining.
