Best Weapon for a Tank

I'm looking for the best Weapon for a Barb (Pure Tank) and i think the following the 3 weapons r the best. I already have Pan Gu's and ill be able to equip the other 2 soon, so i need some help. Help me choose the best and say why? I

Pan Gu's Giant Axe

HP: +205

Vitality +14~15

Shield of Chi: Has a chance to cast a shield of Chi around you
which reduces all damage taken by 20%.


Anchor of Chaos

HP: +225

Vitality +16~17

Reduce Physical damage taken +3%


Scarlet Axes

Phys. Res.: +313

Vitality +16~17

Faith: Has a chance to recover 5% HP and increase
both physical defence and magic defence.

    I say these because you have a chance to recover HP, increase both pdef and mdef. With Anchor of chaos only thing your getting different from this set is some more hp(not much though) and red. phys. dmg 3%. Now unless you have alot of red. phys dmg x% gear thats worthless imo. 1000 dmg done to you, you reduce it by 3% you only cut of what, 30 dmg?

    Go with scarlet but thats just my op.

    I'm going to say Scarlet Axes. I've already made the decision that those axes are the ones I want end game. They also seem like damn good PvP axes as well.

    You get a good amount of VIT, a decent amount of physical resistance. Plus a chance to recover 5% of your HP, increase your physical defense further on top of increasing your magical defense. Sounds like it's full of win to me, but that's just my opinion.

    hmm, yea. i think anchor of chaos is kinda fail. But the shield which reduces 20% of ALL damage taken from Pan Gu's is not bad. And i dont really know how much the defense will be increased with Scarlet Axes. Maybe only +100 p.def/m.def. Ty for the answers. More Replies plz =)

    The two axes are lookin the best to me.
    It's too bad but "free to play, pay to win"-sckye

    These "updates" are seeming more and more like downgrades.

    This, oh this 100 times over.

    These axes give you more hp than XS do AND It gives you a dmg reduction shield not to mention since it's grade 12 you can put in a g11 hp gem @ LVL 85

    This axe is so broken in tw with a contsant dmg reduction shield up and it stacks with turtle.

    In tw it activates about once every 5 or 6 hits or so.

    But with the 15 second duration it's almost like having it up @ all times if you're hitting something

    I would have just made my axe again if it didn't come out max stat >_>

    I try not to wear anything that isn't max stat. You can't change those, you can however socket so I'm all about that

    lol, i did that. i had 14 vita, 1 socket axe, sold it, bought a new sign (1 mill cheaper b:chuckle), now they r 15 vita and 2 sockets b:laugh. And misty's r crappy tank rings. I have a ring which gives 265 hp b:victory.

    My rings are past manufactured rings
    135 hp 6 vit 6 vit and my other one is 135 hp 7 vit 90 accuracy

    Why not? I carry two. I know BMs that carry polehammers, axes and fists. Depends upon what you're tanking and the make up of your party.

    uhm, i cant change my wep while im tanking and the thread says "best tanker wep", so if i have the best wep, i wont buy another tank wep, except TT90 gold for PKing b:thanks

    u dont have to change weapon while tanking, cuz u cant in tiger form but what i think he would have said is that u can use 2 weapon,

    1 for tanking (Pan Gu's)
    1 for PKing (calloused b:sinb:chuckle)

    since i belive tokio is a good source where to takes infos, i think thats allb:victory

    I've got a question on this actually....can Pan Gu's giant axe still be made from the green Pan Gu's axe? Or does it now come as a drop after the frost land revamp?

    uhm its the best wep for tanks available, so its for 85-105 the best wep

    No, because u don't get any mats in FF. U can get only the finished gear at bosses, but im not sure if u can get the gold stuff.

    I belive it Drop from bosses. because i've tryed get ☆Gatherstorm gold poleaxe in drop from last boss.
    that one = str +14. crit +3 ( i think). Chance for regen 5% hp + increase atatck.
    pretty sure pan gu's been dropping in FC too.

    The pan gu's doesn't drop in Frost. It was confirmed by a GM if i'm correct

    Ever sense PWI re-vamped Frostcovered, the bosses and mobs no longer drop Frost Mats. Therefore, it is impossiable to farm or create Frost Gear. The only way to get your hands on one is to get lucky with the current event.

    Personaly, I wish that when you entered FC, you could choose: Mat run, or EXP run. And the dungen would adjust accordingly. But maybe that is to much to ask for.

    Like i said you can only get the giants from the event now. After the frost change it's impossible to make the green one

FC not dropping materials to make frostcovered weapons. wth's the point of running somewhere if u cant make the special eq's from that place? thats like... lets have HH stop dropping every single material in there, no more making the weapons/armors/ornaments that is THE reason for having these special places in the game. downright stupid if ya ask me

    Agreed. If they wanted to encourage more people doing FF, they should have added the exp quest and left it at that.

    Making bosses drop equipments rather than mats is just kinda silly. How do you split 2 equipments between 6 people? b:surrender

    There are no more mat drops in frost. So that's out of the question. If you have the green weapon "maybe" (and i say this because there is a possibilty that it could fail)m can be turned in a gold one. Just check the forges in frost.
