LA or Arcane in PVP?

You have no use rerolling at this level because quite frankly, pre-90, LA is the best choice if you want to PvP. It'll save your **** MANY times, and considering we suck until 90, you really have no use being arcane if it means constantly dieing.

Also, in refference to demon earth barrier, no. I don't know how many demon earth barriers there are on our server, but I know it's quite possibly the most rare book that drops. Plus, sage is arguably 20 bajillion times better. No joke.

Wizards are chi dependent, so why gimp yourself at 9x by going demon? It seems a waste. Sure, demon has stuns and the earth barrier gives 150% pdef, but who cares with how much it gimps you. You won't have chi to cast your skills.. Great, you stunned someone and can't cast the ult that you would need to kill them. I know the choice between sage and demon is based on preference, but ask any high lvled wizard on our server. I bet you they're sage, or hide in safezones 24/7.

So yeah.. I say keep at LA. You have a little less dmg, but the Pdef is a lifesaver, especially if your interests are in PvP, not PvE. At 9x is normally when you would chose to restat to arcane because at 9x is when arcane matters, you need the damage. Also, if you fill up your gears with pdef shards you'll end up with more pdef than an LA wiz as well as high mdef. Mind you, at 9x in arcane you'll have to spend an arm and a leg refining your gears, but if you want to be good, it's necessary.

First: you're talking about things that cannot go hand in hand: Make money and lvl as fast as possible. You're either making one or the other, cannot do both. Well, you can, but not maximizing both factors

Second: on PvP servers it makes sense to stay LA until 90 and restat then. Reason: the most classes that are pk-ing wizards are doing phys dmg. LA gives you quite some pdef on lower lvls and a little bit more HP. Beside, good LA gear cost a faction of Arcane, so you save some cash for when you’re 90. I’m still a work in progress Pdef and HP wise, but atm I’m at +4.1k HP and 4.4k pdef self buffed (5.2k HP and 6.6k pdef full buffed). For the moment I’m working on HP side, then will follow the Pdef. Target is to reach about 4.7k HP and 4.7k pdef asap, that will be about +6k HP and +7k pdef full buffed. If all goes well, I’ll have those stats at 91 easily.

Third: When you start doing RB, max all your skills. I will be a mana drain, but when u get in the 90s and you actually have SP to spare you won’t have the cash to lvl the skills cause everything goes into gear/weapon.

Fourth: I spoke with a lot of lvl 100 wizards before choosing between demon and sage. Truth is, demon has the upper hand in the lower 90s because of the dmg boost of the basic skills and channeling speed from spark. On the high lvls the opinions are different depending who you are talking to. I chose sage and I was lucky enough to get a Sage stone barrier for 1 mil from AH (120% pdef) , gush and pyro were 250k and 300k and SR was 1.5 mil. Chi gain from Pyro and the chi skill is amazing.
Dmg focused on 1 target with basic skills – demon wins hands down.
Dmg focused on 1 or multiple targets involving use of ultimates – sage wins hands down. It’s quite amazing to be able to triple spark + ultimate ( If pyro procs and Master Li is not in cooldown u can do triple spark – Pyro/gush/MasterLi/Ultimate.) I mean, It takes ages to do it ( a channeling appo might help a lot) but it’s possible. Otherwise, the same thing can be done with triple spark + master li (during that 1.5 chi pot) + ultimate + prolly space to cast a gush/pyro/SR with spark. Quite amazing the dmg a triple spark ultimate can do .
Yeah, ppl will argue that no one will let you do that cause you will get interrupted/stunned but you know, it works for me quite often on cata teams, especially with the channel pot from Archos (if your faction owns the city) that’s a piece of cake.
