I found that a pdef of 100 is around 10% 200 is around 20 but 400 is around 30% not 40% so I can see is not lineal. Anybody have found somekind of chart with the relation between the whole number and the % it represent? Also I have tried to understand what is the Hit % and Eva % on mobs because a mob with Hit 30% still get to hit me all the time if it get close to me and a mob with Ev 100% still get hit by me most of the time!

Pdef/Mdef calculations are rather difficult, it depends on the amount of def you have, the level of the mob in question and your own lvl, like if i put on my set with mostly wood def i can get well over 12000 wood def but the resist is around 85% but if I were lvl 20 or so that would be 100% resist.

And the HIT% on a monster means what your chance is to land a succesful attack on a monster, but by your avatar I see you're a wizard and magic never misses, so you can basically ignore this.

the EV% means the chance you have to evade an attack of that mob.

It's off at very low percents, but fairly accurate at higher ones.
    100*def/(def+40*level)

Thanks a lot I will check it! Did you extrapolated it yourself?

Several of us arrived at it independently. It doesn't work at very low levels (like level 10), indicating we're missing a small constant somewhere. But for mid to high levels it's accurate to 1% (the resolution of the % damage reduction on your character sheet).

And it only works against same-level opponents. I've played with a few numbers from different-level encounters, but haven't come up with anything so far.

For other formulae, try this thread (which unfortunately Spoons closed because he apparently didn't know it was an ongoing research thread, and thought it was necroed).
