Selling items to cat shop

somehow, i have not been able to sell any items to a catshop in quite awhile. i had done it before, long ago, but now every time i have an item someone wants, the area marked "offered items" is grey-out and i cannot drop items in there to sell.

have i flipped some kind of setting switch, is this a game glitch affecting my character or...

thanks for any help you can offer me!

    If you are dropping the item on top of their item in the sell to area and it's not working, then maybe they are out of coins to pay you?

    You do know that you have to drop it on top of the icon in their "buying" window, not the transparent one below it? Once you do this, those items will appear in the aforementioned window.

    And I believe you cannot set up a cat shop to buy more than the amount of coins you currently have, so they will always have enough coins to buy the stuff at the set price.

    This is true, but I have had occasions where it just doesn't work. In one case I wanted to get some items from one char to another and figure I'd just sell to my own shop, but it wouldn't work. I tried several times and still nothing.

    So I checked my shop, re-set it up, and voila, it now worked fine. I have no idea what caused the problem, and was unable to re-create it.

    problem solved

    and yes in the future i will try to use better searching parameters centetric to find information AND try to get in the correct forum!!!!

    it can be tricky sometimes because the thread titles are not specific enough.

    I have the same problem...i see the man just open cat shop with name BUYING MATS and i eant to offer him some but i cant...i mean i dont know how..can anyone help ???
