Purifying Equipment

Hi, just a quick question - does purifying equipment get rid of the refinement on gear? Say if my gear is +4 and has 4 beautiful citrines, but I want to upgrade this to 4 immaculates, will purifying it get rid of the +3 as well?

    NO, it will only remove the shards :)

    so ur saying i could put shards into say a lvl 3 wep and wen i upgrade i can remove them to put into a lvl 4 wep?

    ah right

    got worried i wasted alot of gems selling the wep (normaly FB19 wep) back to an NPC but since they both lost either way it doesnt really matter

    but say an armor has +60 HP +3 Dex 2 Avg Citrines... when purified does it loose the other attributes too?

    No. The 'natural' blue stats stay there, only the cyan shard stats are lost.

    And if you're really worried, spend 530 coins on the crappiest gem you can find, shard it into the crappiest mob-dropped socket weapon and test yourself, s'what I did.
