Can update but can not log in

I apologize if this has been answered already but I could not find it.

I can play Perfect World fine at my house, but at my school (boarding school but I am a day student) it seems to be blocked. Strangely though, the update server is not blocked as I have been able to update while at school. From what I have read both the update server and the game server require port 29000 to be open. Is it possible that my school network could have blocked just the game server due to some settings?

more then likly the school has it block i really don't think they want ppl playing games in class lol

Right but the only reason I ask is because there are many other games that work here (Guild Wars is one that comes to mind, but at the same time WoW does not). ********* works but I believe that is because it is run out of your browser (maybe? not very tech savvy when it comes to the internet).

Err...Rune Scape is apparently blocked as a word...no matter I dislike the game anyway I was just using it as an example

If you want to play the game from your school you will have to contact the school administration with this information.
