Hi I am a lvl 28 Barb And I have one of each Class(All most) And i and sturaling what class to be.
i like(* after it denotes a must):
Looking like (MR Do Not Mess With Me)
AOE's*
killing stuff from a far (do damage before it get close enough to Bash its brains out)
easy to train *'
Not Die easily*'
uses more than one type of weapon*
self surrporrting (mostly)*
and can Bash stuff up slose but can hit at a range if needs be.
Can somebody help Meb:beg
(sorry about the mis spelt name and any other spelling mistakes)

Archer is about the only thing that seems to match ALL those criteria. They have limited AOEs, a selection of ranged weapons (Bow, Xbow, Slingshot, and some use claws or fists for close combat). Light Armor makes them overall less squishy than caster classes. And they're wanted for Zhen parties from about 60 up, so 'easy to level (train?)' is taken care of. Grinding before that might be a tad rough if you get ganged up on though.0

you can choose archer like stated before or a hybrid axe/pole bm
pole for a litle more then melee range and switching to axes for aoes
and they have a higher survivability then archers
though seeing what you want i do recommend you take archer but see the bm as an alternativeits impossible to always do the right thing we all make mistakes i am not different from that
just try to be a good person

Any class, except Venomancers.AOE's
Axe BMs.killing stuff from a far (do damage before it get close enough to Bash its brains out)
Wizard, Venomancer, Archer, Cleric.easy to train
Any class, though I suppose Venomancers get points for soloing and BMs get points for AOEs.Not Die easily
Barb and BM have this on default, but any class can do it if played well.uses more than one type of weapon

Honestly I don't think any class meets all that criteria.
No archers don't really have really good AOE's.
We have barrage but unless your doing RB or want crazy charm **** then you wont be using it much.The only way to win is to quit. b:bye0 -
well before i played PW, i played RS (i know is nooby, but i liked it) and becuase it had skilles to train i could switch between Melee, Range and Mage at will ans i like that and i i want something like that again or atlest attack from some distance than when close bash there brains out.0

i'm going to be flamed down for this..... but roll a HA wizard... your magic is going to be heavily gimped, but you'll have survivability at close range, plus you can switch to a heavy melee weapon when the mobs get close
an ex-friend of mine rolled one, and he did pretty good in his 20s, magic damage was a bit less than a LA/HA veno, but he hit for some good melee damage, and could take a couple mobs at once
honestly tho, you're asking for alot, and would be much better off just making some sacrifices on what you want[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

AOE's; Blademaster, each paths lets you use AoE's (Frontal&Area oriented).
killing stuff from a far (do damage before it get close enough to Bash its brains out) Drake's Ray, Spirit Chaser, & Farstrike combo.
easy to train Ultimate AoE grinders, that's simple.
Not Die easily Get a HP charm, learn to use Sutra&Fury Bursts correctly; you won't die easily.
uses more than one type of weapon Swords, blades, dual swords, dual blades, axes, poleaxes, sledgehammers, hammers, poles, spears, long blades, fists, claws, and bows(just for the lulz) are everything that a blademaster can use.
self surrporrting (mostly) Dimond Sutra and Fury Bursts. Learn it or gtfo.

Yes but that, thunderous blast, and barrage are our only aoes.
Wingspan pushes all the mobs away so if you use thunderous blast after it wont do a lot of damage, plus since archers aren't really able to tank many mobs you need a tank to hold aggro and a cleric while you use your two AOE's on the mobs. Unless you want to barrage but if you use barrage then your either gonna run out of MP fast or spend a ton on Charms and/or event pots.
I'm sure theres a way for archers to AOE but I bet it would take a lot of effort (and probably money)The only way to win is to quit. b:bye0 -
Also how long would it take me to train my lvl 14 BM to lvl 30 at 20 hours a week (about)0

I was Told archers can tank u just have to wait until ur like lvl 60 or 70 somthing like thatb:coolb0

Not really. A lot of archers (if built & geared properly) can tank just fine. Remember, Light armor is a mix of Phys and Mag defense, so a boss with a weak phys or magical ranged attack is easy prey. And whereas a melee tank class has to worry about a channeled spell every 10 seconds or so, that's all the archer is concerned with because the boss stays at range.
It's not a superior method, but possible in certain instances and by no means "suicidal"0 -
yea lol, i know plenty of archers who have tanked bosses for me in the past... in fact, thanks to their high damage output, they actually got my bosses done faster than if we had a barb b:laugh[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

We "can" tank although not as well as a barb or BM.
I can take a few hits from mobs and If I have a cleric then I'm sure I could handle multiple mobs, but not was well as a BM or Barb.
The only time I ever really tank is second burring during gamma.The only way to win is to quit. b:bye0 -
