Hi,

I had a problem earlier i couldn't launch PWI so i decided to un-install and start again. I re-downloaded game, re-installed and now it is completely messed up.

I cannot patch it. Whether it be Patch 1, Patch 2 or Manual patch from any mirror it always gets 80% in and then closes. No error message - nothing.

HELP :S

Could you try a verify from the launcher?

Ok. After some more messing about with my bro's version and transferring to mine i managed to get my PWI updated again.

But, my initial problem persists. When i click start it pop's up black for a split second (the PWI console) and disappears. Launcher hangs there for a sec then goes away.

elementclient.exe and pwprotector.exe are both running in task manager.

I'm going to need some more information from you about your computer. Go to Start, click on Run (or Search if using Vista), and type in dxdiag and press enter.

Click on the Display tab, and then post here everything in the Device and Drivers boxes:

Sent a ticket. No reply yet.

But i just noticed your earlier post about verifying. I tried and it comes up with the "error occured, must close program" when it hits elements.data ...

It verifies the file, then says "updating elements.data" and crashes.

This help with any ideas ? :)

A reinstall is probably your best bet.

When you get stuck and client asks to try again or stop update. Click stop update and exit game. Run game again and hit update game -> CONTINUE UPDATE.

So basically everytime you get stuck. Just stop updating ->exit game->run game->update game->continue update

Try the above ^^ using the udpate via the launcher

    I have windows XP sp2.

I completely removed PWI and all components from PC. Re-downloaded and installed game. So it was version 166...

Downloaded 166-196 from here, gets halfway and says "Update files corrupted"

Downloaded 166-192 from filefront, same thing.
