At times being a Cleric can just be infuriating, if you've had one of those moments that you make you b:angry. Cause of bad situations that half the time could be avoided such as Coconut Head Tanks who start a fight before you can finish recouping from the last.
Here's the place to say it.

The BMs who cloud sprint ahead of the group, trying to tank 4 mobs at a time, then whine and flame me when their charm ticks (or on one occasion when one died). Gotta love those.We are not your slaves,

threatening to have level 1 res is a good idea.
i think my most annoying incident recently was in FB51 the barb ran ahead yada yada... i get there and start to heal, well, despite his headstart he couldnt hold agro to save his life (literally) so 2 of the 4 mobs come at me. i immediately plume and start to heal myself. he and the veno manage to kill the 2 that were still on him, then.... they stand around. im screaming for help. my hp charm ticks 4 times while i try to kill them myself. after the lengthy screaming session they're response was "oops, i didnt see them". i was running in circles around them!!! and where did they think they went anyway?!
needless to say i let them die the next time. my response "oops, i didnt see your hp"0 -

honestly, any one that is stupid enough to run away from the cleric, gather as many mobs as they can, and come running back saying "HEeL MeEeEY!!! Um people who I buff and then yell at me for **** up their powders even though I don't give them the hp/mp buff. I get that you've had a bad experience with losing powder effects but no reason to yell at me

It's there for emergency situations, not when the damn cleric decided to take a nap during the entire run, or instead is DDing while half the squad is dying out. so a barbs hp charm is for emergencies but the clerics mp charm is for...? making sure your emergency charm doesnt tick? thats hardly fair.

Of course, I try my best to keep everyone healed. I pride myself at being a pretty good healer for my level. But I can't be everywhere, and if it comes between the bm/barb ticking his charm, or healing the wizard who aggroed a physical mob and is about to die, I will always try to save the wizard. Yeah, it was stupid of this hypothetical wizard to aggro the mob in the first place, but if the tank is secure for the moment, I'll drop a couple ironhearts on him anyway. I think of it as a version of the hippocratic oath.
People who don't understand the basics of all the management clerics have to do really frustrate me (not that the above poster is one of those).
Today, I went through a bh 29 run with a couple other people of about my level. The veno accidentally got aggro and died while I was healing the tanking BM. And what does the veno type, but "rez me," while I'm doing the whole heal-heal-purify-heal thing on the BM, AND trying to keep the poor level 30 fber from dying after he followed the Veno's luring pet into the fray. Veno, I don't even have time to type a response, much less revive you. Wait until the current skirmish is over, please, before you tell me how to do my job. b:surrender[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You also want to see the repair bills I'll be getting for good runs? But your endu on weaps or equip doesn't go down when you heal.so a barbs hp charm is for emergencies but the clerics mp charm is for...?
I never mind stopping a bit so cleric can med for mp, nor do I stray off way ahead & then scream "HEAL!" while the poor 4.8 >_< speed cleric is way behind *that's a hint to some barbs*.

I dont like DDs who cant control there agro,also people who pm me when im busy for revives. Sure if there nearby fine,but if there quite a while away no thanks.
Most tanks I work with do have enough intelligence to realise I do what I do but it takes its own time.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
to solve mp charm from ticking, just use mp regen powders=mp never drops while healing. it's cheap and always ask the party if they have herbs to spare for it =P. just watch out for the other cleric if there is one, putting seal on u =/.0

I understand that clerics look after the whole group, and I tend to take care of clerics (I bring powders and pots for TT,FB, or Bosses) cause I don't want them to run out of mana as much as they don't want to. But, the one thing that pisses me off is the clerics that attack and don't heal. I don't mind my charm ticking in a tough fight, but when doing a simple bh and ticking multiple times just because a cleric wants to attack, that's just stupid.
Also, if I do pull extra mobs ahead of everyone or i see a bm or higher barb do the same... I agree, let them die. It's better then a party wipe. I've told clerics don't heal me until you see me hit each mob at least once, so they wont pull aggro back. I take pride in not losing aggro to higher lvl DDs. But wish that if there are multiple DDs they focus on 1 mob at a time. Even some of the best barbs will lose aggro if 3 DDs attack 3 diff mobs.
I thank the clerics that do not have the urge to attack mid way through a fight and stop healing. b:thanks
My main philosophy is that a barbs role is to take aggro and make sure he doesn't lose it so others do not die. AND a clerics MAIN role is to make sure the barb does not die. Please do not stop healing on bosses or decide you want to attack the whole way through a bh.
And if there are multiple clerics in a group, make sure you know what the other is doing.b:thanks0 -

I have a nice story ^^
once upon a time, in a bh39, a suicidal (axe) BM decided to run into serenti and his friends instead of letting the veno lure or the barb take aggro
he (the bm) then began to attk one mob at a time, yelling at me to heal (i was the only cleric) instead of stunning. the barb runs out to attk next, also screaming "heal me, heal me" while the BM gets **** from all sides. Needless to say, the 'tard dies. i spam barb, rez the dead fool, and we go on our merry way b:cute
however at trioc, things got messy. the barb runs out with no warning to me, aggroing all those nice life draining women. The conversation is as follows:
Barb: *runs into mobs* BB HERE NOW
Me: I don't have bb yet...
Barb: WTF, WHY NO BB
Me: ...i just lvled
After he died, he kicked me from the squad...and asked for re-buff >.<

LOL at that last room with trioc, i once had a 8x barb without warning attempt to pull like the whole room until just before the boss. The barb and I were the only 2 8x ppl in party and the rest were 4x-5x. Basicallyit ended up with him not aggroing all the mobs which killed everyone in the party bar myself and an archer that didn't attack. I had to stand there and take out each life drain mob one by one whilst ticking my hp charm and potting like mad. idiot.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Speaking of fb39 disasters.. b:shocked
Another case of the suicidal BM: I was level 60 and the only cleric, and we had a 62 BM as our main tank, a lvl 40 BM and a wizzy tabber. Well our "tank" decided to run at sereneti; I refused to heal until he hit all the adds, and sereneti's aoe killed the poor wiz in two shots, because for some reason he did not like the idea of standing back. Well when the 62 BM dies he leaves the squad, leaving the lvl 40 BM cloud sprinting around the entire FB kiting sereneti, with me madly trying to catch up. The aoe gets the other BM and the wizzy goes to town thinking party wipe. Then I tanked and killed sereneti all by myself [which took awhile], during which the wizzy gave up and left squad.
The ending: a bunch of 3* and nice drops I got to keep all to myself and proof that clerics can tank in emergencies b:chuckle.0 -

I tend to use hole path to stay behind a few Kamikaze BM's in Frost and the TT, but otherwise it isn't really smart for them (and also frustrating for the cleric) to go Kamikaze without a healer.

He didn't use tiger form. He didn't know what "aggro" meant (at level 50!). We were a squad of him, 2 archers, a veno, a wizard, and me... aggro was all over the place. One of the archers did most of the tanking, because the barb just didn't get it when we tried to explain it. b:beatup
On the plus side, i did meet a very nice archer who gave me a spirit charm because he felt I got stiffed for drops on an fb run. That made me feel much better.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I think it all depends if your party knows how to play or not. I have lots of horror stories, but I also have a lot of barbs who offer mp pots, and never complain if their charms tick. I do agree that charms are expecially for emergencies, but I think not taking heal agro counts as an emergency, as we all know the cleric will die if he/she takes heal agro, and that usually ends up in a party wipe.
I think a cleric's job is to keep everyone alive. Don't attack the boss/mobs unless the tank's hp isn't going down (and even then it's very risky) and most of the time, you should always try to heal since you'll keep your mp regen b:victory. I also think it is very important that every cleric knows their role (heal tank, bb, puri, etc.) before the fight starts. There is nothing wrong with an attack cleric, if that's what you want to do, but warn the party you're with that you're not a support cleric, so they know what they're getting into, or maybe try to find a second cleric who will heal.
Every class has it's ups and downs, it's very expensive in repairs for tanks, DDs take agro often and die alot, clerics cost alot in mp and get blamed everytime someone in party dies, but then again tanks get blamed when a DD or cleric takes agro. Everyone chose their class when they started, so I think everyone should take a certain amount of accountability for their actions. It's expensive, it's difficult, but if all you do is complain about the other classes or complain that yours is hard, try another one for a while, the grass isn't greener on the other side! Or maybe it is...in which case you should switch.b:chuckle
I think it's not easy being a cleric, but I wouldn't trade classes with anyone! I LOVE being a cleric!!b:victory

I would run with you anytime, you clearly understand the clerics side of it. atleast i know we would both stay alive. unfortunately a rarity as made apparent by the horror stories going on.
my most recent annoyance was a barb that thinks hes a rogue in FB59. guy kept trying to sneak by groups of mobs which of course aggroed them all. we got tired of yelling at him and saving his butt and having others die, so we let him die a couple times and threatened to kick him if he didnt straighten up. he was still dead weight for the rest of the FB but atleast he didnt cause any more deaths.0
