Confused about FB drops

Ok I went to tabbed FB29 with a party and got nothing but coins.

I now went to do my tabbed BH39 with only 1 person and on ALL 3 bosses I got NOTHING BUT COINS AGAIN!!

I don't understand how I keep getting nothing but coins....

    The higher the average level of the squad compared to the level of the killed monster, the lower the chance for items to drop. Since it sounds like you had a much higher level do your FBs, your chance for any items is pretty much nil.

    I think it depends on luck ;o
    we run BH 89 EDEN and BRIMESTONE, their both still nasty to go to but the drop rate on bosses are very random sometimes nice stuff, sometimes all coins. And no tablet does not make drops increase.

    Any single player that appears on the boss's aggro table, will ruin the drop rate. Its not the average level, but the highest level in the party that determines the drops.

    The only thing i'm not sure about, is if there's a high level in the party, nearby, but that player does nothing in the fight. (This includes not healing or supporting the party in any way during the fight, as healing & buffing would place you on the boss's aggro table, & thus at that point i'm positive about it nerfing the drop rate then.)

    Now of course its still a roll of the dice, and even with all low levels you can get horrible luck, but with all low levels you'd be much more likely to have better drops.

    Something doesn't seem right w/ your explaination. I did FB19 w/ a lvl68 and myself (29) and got TONS of drops. Later I solo'd it at 33 and got only coins. And yes, the 68 tanked while i did little dmg compared to her.

    I think it's luck. If a squad of 90s and a 100 can slaughter an FB19 and the tabber still gets at least drops if not a 3* or two, then it's luck. I don't think it has anything to do with levels or who has agro (though I've wanted to test the level theory). Bosses like to be stingy. In my 40s I farmed FB19 Elf for a mold my friend wanted. A majority of my runs resulted in lunch money, but occasionally I got drops and every now and then I got a mold.

    According to PWDatabase, even at a 40 level difference, there's still a 1 in 5 chance of items dropping.

    And the database is usually pretty accurate but if you're looking at the % rates, they're very tiny. Don't hold your breath for any particular mold.

    Ran it again. Same level (33) and dropped items. It is just luck.

    I ran my FB69 today composed of mostly levels 73 - 90 and I got two molds, where one was a good one. Then again, I heared that FB69 does do pretty good mold drops so that might not really be relevant.

    FB69 is usually pretty decent with its drop rates. FB89s have generous rewards too.
