I'm going to need some more information from you about your computer. Go to Start, click on Run (or Search if using Vista), and type in dxdiag and press enter.

Click on the Display tab, and then post here everything in the Device and Drivers boxes:

Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

k, so we are having a big problem with PWI crashing when we close our laptop lid, I do not have as much of an issue as my hubby does, evertime he closes his laptop lid the game will crash and he get that wonderful submit info box. Any ideas what may be causeing it? Someone said it may be his graphics setting in the game. We don't play in full screen mode. he does not have a graphics card "just graphics accelerator" Any suggestions panda?

If you close your laptop lid, i believe the default setting for Windows is to put your laptop into stand-by or hibernate mode, thus ending your connection.

    Chesticles is correct.

Closing your laptop lid while running intensive programs can also overheat your system and cause damage.

IMHO, when you close your laptop, it should go into hibernate mode so that it doesn't overheat when you put it in a backpack, stack it, etc.

Many programs can not continue running once they no longer have access to the hard drive and other parts of the system (like what happens when the PC is put into sleep or hibernate mode).

It is also a good rule of thumb to run defrag (2-3 times back to back) at least once a week on your system, as well as to reboot it after each defrag session.

k, we have our hibernate, and sleep modes disabled, and always have, so would that still be the issue?

first question is whether or not you have east asian language packs installed or not - this is what keeps the game from crashing whenever it looses focus. at least... what used to keep it from happening. nowadays it seems not to, as quite a few members have been noticing lately.
