    mages can seal, blink, sutra, summon a big, badass water dragon, rain fire meteors down on people, and fire a quick blast reducing the opponents elemental defence.

    still not helping i want to know whats that something special that we have that others envy us of?

    Edit:and please i already know all of this stuff but its not an enough reason for someone to reroll their class for it.

    mages are know for their high hits. I envy distance shrink.

    dumb. barbs/ bms dont really stand that much of a chance against wizards unless they get a good stun and some fantastic hits in FAST. so go light armour against clerics, archers and wizards are a good fight to see, and venos are OP everyone will say it. even a veno.

    These "updates" are seeming more and more like downgrades.

    Distance shrink, being able to kill a poison mob even before he can cast the poison (if needed with a FoW), being albe to kill any melee mob without the mob touching you (even works at mini bosses), just massive dmg, a nice heal that's more than enough for ourself...

    Do I must go on?

    Again in PVE i dont even consider thinking we are not the best at it if a mob ever hits me then i know i need to rethink my strategy.

    Fun(PVP) is what am talking about.

    didnt want to make a long post but there is really no other class i would rather play and i tried them all.

    1st:Barb they just take soooo long to kill anything quit at lvl 40.

    2nd: BM there is really no challenge in it so i quit at early lvls too.

    3rd :Wizard and still my favourit its a good challenge and its like picking the hard diffuclty in this game.

    4th: Veno didnt even make it past 50 even though i was only using it for money but i really hate to play a class that requires no thinking to play.

    5th :Archer is kinda good and alot of fun (i have one lvl 60 at HarshLands) but it just didnt quite click to me u know not as big as a challenge as wizards.

    6th:Clerics i just quit after someone kept nagging me to heal him yeah dif not my type.

    We already gave you that list, mosabi. Here it is again, with a few additions:

    Black Ice Dragon Strike
    Blade Tempest
    Distance Shrink
    Essential Sutra
    Force of Will
    Mountain Seize
    Soporific Whisper
    Stone Barrier
    Undine Strike

    And staple attack skills:
    Gush
    Pyrogram
    Sandstorm (pre-89)
    Stone Rain
    Will of the Phoenix

    We have enough attack skills that we can spam magic damage. Clerics can't do that--they don't have enough metal skills. Venos have longer cast times and lower damage.

    We also out-range everyone except archers.

    I have to say one good thing about mages is we're the only class that can take an equally lvled barb 1 vs 1.

    At level 100 wizards basically **** face. More so in TW than anything, but yeah. Get 100 and stop qqing.

    Only with apothecary. Otherwise the veno just stuns, then the nix stuns, then I'm dead.

    But also the mage is (or at least seems to me) a tactical class that requires a lot of planing and dedication, all the other classes just seem to have 1-2 strategies for beating their opponent. (although the same can sorta apply to us.) however we can mix our attacks to keep them guessing and stay unpredictable, but when your able to kill just about anything in 3-4 hits (or 1 shot for you higher lvl mages :P) who wants to do that when you can end it all quickly?

    yeah if you notice any other fight that doesnt include mage they just take soooo long but mage requires you to use your head and thats why i love it.

    I don't see what's so bad about being a wizard. It takes brains to play one effectively, so really, those who get a wizard to high levels are the cream of the crop. Venos can just spam heal their way through the game, Clerics and Barbs can team up together, and do anything, Now, as for BMs, Archers and Wizard, IE, the DD classes of the game? We're there to make the game suck less for all the other classes. We're there so the Veno, or the Cleric don't have to spam heal for an ungodly amount of time. Does that mean we're only party based? Hell no. We've got solo power as well. BMs are AoE, and Stun Gods. An Archer is disappointing if they actually allow a mob to get to them. But wizards? We are the alpha, and omega of pain. We don't have to rely on crit, or luck, or anything. We look at mobs, and they tremble, for they know something bad is going to happen to them. And if that isn't enough reason to be envious of us, you show me another class that can teleport, manipulate the weaknesses of mobs, cast several Ultimate Spells in almost no time, and just plain look the most badass while doing it.
