Rolling a spear, need advice

I've been thinking about making a spear alt (as bm is the only class I've never gotten past lvl.45) and I was wondering if there's a good spear guide someone could refer to me, all I'm coming across are axe guides that just mention spears a little without going in-depth. :/
Things I've caught myself saying while playing my mage:
"Boom Headshot!"
"Flame On!"
"Ice Ice Baby!"
*while using Dragon's Breath* "I'm burnin', I'm burnin' for you..."
"You know what they say about mages with big mp bars."

    Lyndura's guide gives you enough info about builds and each skill for spears. That's been sufficient for me.

    Power went out lol, ok thanks I'll check it out, are there any more guides so I can kinda compare them or do I even need to? lol

    not really lyndura's guide is about as good as your gonna get

    you don't see too many higher level pole bm's on the server(atleast not in sanctuary)

    most people roll with axes or swords a few fisters
    but for the most part alot of peopl don't play the pole

    or if they do they do an axe/poll hybrid


    as for me i'm all pole

    but i'm strictly a pve build though so

    In my opinion, spears are only good for combo path bms. Either Swords&Pole combo for range style, or Axe&Pole combo(Demon Meteor Rush is one of the best spear skill, imo) for stun & AoE combos. The guides here should be sufficient enough, like the other person commented.

    Ok, thanks again for all the advice. I was just thinking about going pole only just because its rare to see a pole user with a pole as their primary rather than their secondary, but yeah just to be save I guess I should consider a hybrid, thanks once again.

    Stayed pure Spear till lvl 80, and then yes, I switched to sword/spear combo. But till 80 I was pure spear and never used any other weapon.

    I am on Sanc and was pure polearm BM until mid 70s. Now I use every weapon b:victory
