Welcome to the world of the cleric. b:surrender

We level slowly, because our chars have to meditate back our mana a lot, or grind mobs for money. It's a trade-off of being the most desireable squadding class in the game. Don't worry, it's worth it once you get past the lower levels.

Don't be ashamed to go at your own pace. Take your time to explore the game. If you're worried you're lagging behind your friend, ask her to help you out with quests, and think about joining a faction for further help. But it's really not a big deal. I've been on here since February, and am only level 51. It's nothing to be ashamed of. Real life can get in the way, as can slower running speeds and lots of fetch quests. It just means you're taking the time to get the full experience.

It all depends on how much you play and how you use that time.

Personally, I started around May this year and as you can see, I am 73 now. The thing is, I only have two people on my flist capable of helping me, which has left me kinda stuck at times.

If you only play 30 minutes a day and use half of that to look at the pretty water, of course your leveling will be slow compared to someone who plays 2-3 hours a day and uses that to quest. Basically, if you want to have fast leveling, you need to know what you're going to do before you do it. Check sites for the quests and their requirements and plan your action so that you don't end up wasting time going "Oh my, what should I do now?"

Also, everything is a bit slow in the beginning, when skills seem to have huge costs and can be used rarely. However, as you soon as you get into the 30s, things get better, as you start getting more and more daily quests for experience: 30 gets you Crazy Stone, an easy quest which transfers in-game coin into spirit and experience, 40 gets you Bounty Hunter, where you kill a boss in a dungeon and get high amounts of experience and spirit for it, 70 gets you World Quest, a quest where you go around the map talking to various NPCs and you get experience and spirit at the end.
If you disregard what I say because of who I am or because of the contents of what I said, you are a fool.

Everyone wants to be different, but when you're different you wish you were normal.

Clerics are one of the slower levelers however, 1-20 should not be much slower than any other class.

The key to fast leveling at low levels is to do your quests as fast as possible. Avoid unnecessary travel. For example. Don't travel back just to turn in a quest if you have another one nearby you can complete, then turn them both in at the same time.

Also, since the bulk of the XP comes from the Quest, NOT from killing the mob, squadding even with a high level friend to wipe out the 20 Mob you need for the quest in a couple of minutes is more efficient than trying to kill them solo and taking an hour or so to do it.

i grinded my first 3 levels in like 5 minutes, without turning a quest inb:laugh

too bad you've missed out on the double xp weekends though. just dont die, and do your quests as soon as you get em. as has been said, if you have two/three quests in one area - do em all at once before turning them in. You'll eventually find that by doing this, you'll have about three levels worth of quests to do, do them, turn them in, and youve gained another three levels again - once again go pick up the new quests - and repeat. also, if you wanna level fast - forget about the genie.

A big thing is to log in and have a plan of what you are going to do, and how you are going to get it done. I hate to repeat a previous poster but it stands repeating: Don't fly back and forth wasting travel time, when there's another quest to finish in that particular area.

At the lower levels I have had 4 or 5 quests finished before I turn any of them in to the appropriate NPC.

I even plan ahead to the next day...my login goes like this:

Login > get CS quest/ JQ > get appropriate gems > turn in to NPC > pick up BH (I stack two or more BH instead of doing dailies) > go quest or grind > before log off, turn in CS (and BH if I did it that day) > log

That way I'm not wasting 10 minutes or more just hanging out in arch waiting for CS time to elapse.

I reached lvl 9 on my barb in one day and thought I was slow.... And clerics cant be that slow cause I made my cleric reach 9 in one day too -.- Welllll anyways, basically do what everyone else said-Quest like crazy, and get quests you need to do in one area together, then hand them all in. Also check your build, perhaps your doing something wrong in that (like putting 4/5 of your ap in strength =\ ). If you keep questing you should reach a high level pretty fast. Also, you might not want to waste time selling items every time you finish a quest, unless you need the money or don't have room left. My advice would be to keep the DQ items and sell them later, when you have the time. Most of the equipment and stuff can be sold to npc's since you will probably get only like 2k at that level for equipment.

yes the average of a good leveling player for the first day is between 15-20, other than that u might be a bit slow in leveling, it took me the first day of play to reach level 20 when i first started, but that's after testing the game on other alts and knowing the quests by heart b:laugh

I have been playing for at least 2.5 weeks, I am lvl 9. It takes so long for me, PLEASE RESPOND, HELP A BEGGINER OUT! b:cry b:beg

When I 1st started out, I took a long time to get used to the game controls and quests. (I'm no noob to Online MMORPG games). But once u get the hang of it, u should be able to level to 20 within the week or less (if u play 1-2hrs a day)

Start 1st by completing quests. Don't bother about grining until you are pass level 35. There's enough quest to keep you occupied and leveling fast till you are Level 40. Then the quest becomes increasingly difficult as you have to kill bosses.

The fastest way for any class to level up in the shortest time is to do quest and DO NOT MEDITATE TO REGENERATE YOUR HEALTH AND MANA. Just drink potions and keep up the questing. You will come to a stage in the game where you will be selling off the monster drops which will earn you enough to replenish your potions while earning a profit. (Best way is to sell off Dragon Quest materials, which is a useless quest in my opinion). This usually happens from level 20 onwards. Do not invest in good equiptment untill you are about level 40 coz you will be leveling up too fast and before u know it, u need to change equiptment again - I rather u spend the coins on potions early in the game.

Do not party unless you cannot solo. Many of the noob parties I have been to are useless as I find myself hunting monsters by myself while my party members are lurking elsewhere slacking off. And when u are so serious and busy grining quest items AND DRINKING POTS to save time, you see your other party members MEDITATING to replenish their health/mana. If u are playing a support class, u know that it is important to level yourself up enough to have buff skills so that others want to party u.

If u must party, pick your party. The good thing about this game is that as your party kills the quest monsters, u get the kill also. Pls do not pick an all cleric party and expect to level fast... venos/barbs are the best damage output classes to party early on. The kill fast and this is good.

it was like this for me when i first started playing. it was so difficult and frustrating for me to lvl that i just stopped playing for a couple months.

but what you need to do is when you are questing, open the quest window and click find cavailable quest. then pick the one that gives you the most amount of exp. grinding quests are the best ones because you get exp while youre grinding and after you complete the quest. click the green npc location and autopath to it. dont waste time looking for the npc or the monsters. if you see others killing the same mobs as you, invite them it will get the quest done faster.

hm i guess that makes me an above average leveling player lol i started a few new chars thats why this character is lvl 67 when he should be 75. but i got a bm and an archer to lvl 30 in a day of 5-6hours (not the same days). lol and a wiz to 20 b4 i gave up on it. b:victory b:laugh

but yea just quest as fast as possible and use the auto pathing instead of trying to find the mobs. plus, use "find quest" tab in the quest box if you run out of quests to see if there are any more quests u can do. To auto-path simply open the quest and click the green letters of the mob or npc. Have Fun!! b:thanks

You know like the worries of the banker one, you can't do it because it requires botique items... b:surrender I just want this to go faster, 16 then I'll go normal speed... Oh the drama... This is more difficult then I thought it would beeeeeeeeeeeeee I really wish I could stop lecuring

Lighdar you don't need to buy the boutique items to do the worries of the banker quest. Just choose gather the materials instead of the safe extension stone.
Although it won't be as big as if you used the stone. It's still good to do it.
*Just trash the quest go back to any banker and reselect the quest with gather the materials*

Also don't worry it gets better when you get to have others doing all of the killing for you.
You'll be wanted in Bounty hunters and Twilight temple runs all the time.
