Whats better for armor shards:Hp or phys. def?

As the topic states I'm looking to know whats better to shard in my armor, I'm a pure int wiz with 5 vit, (will restat to 3 once I can afford it) and right now I've been doing is filling my armor with hp stones. Is it better to have all hp, all physical def. or a mix of the two?

"Boom Headshot!"
"Flame On!"
"Ice Ice Baby!"
*while using Dragon's Breath* "I'm burnin', I'm burnin' for you..."
"You know what they say about mages with big mp bars."

    :o well if you never PvP then I would suggest keeping all HP shards in your gear and just make your p.def belt & necklace +3 or so (easily affordable if you just PvE).

    But if you do PvP then the general rule is that defense comes from garnet shards in your gear & refining your p.def ornaments while HP comes from refining your gear (psss you can sneak 30-40 vit in your build too w/out noticing a damage difference :o)

    Ok, thank you very much. And yes I forgot to mention I PvP. (or at least plan too once I'm higher lvl and don't get 1-shotted :P)

    I have 150hr~ of redname and I shard entirely for hp. who said the pvp rule is to shard pdef?

    Sharding with hp means you completely **** other wizards assuming roughly same refines. There's maybe one 98- wizard who can oneshot me with an undined/amped blade tempest, and I don't even have the 96 cape. Sharding is nothing but a matter of preference. Only time I'd agree on going almost full pdef sharding is if you have the money to refine everything to like +6 or more.
    Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

    yeah, I'm going for a pdef-hp combo
    I'm using the pwcalc to see the reductions and make the math and I put the pdef or HP depending which one gives me the best "bang for the buck".
    I can't go high refines ( +6 and more) so I need to get around with other means.

    my end game gear will be +7(I hope.. gana try to +10 my weapon this time around) and I still intend to shard entirely for hp. if I really, REALLY need pdef, I'll save up and + my accessories more. I bought my dark barrier book this morning and now have over 7k pdef self buffed. I'm conceited with that for now. 65% reduction.

    Frost hat is rather difficult to obtain here, because they took away the material drops in FF. I guess you could get it as a direct drop, but I have to imagine the odds are pretty low. You also have a lot of lunar gear, there aren't many lunar squads doing runs on this server yet.

    But I agree, your setup or an equivalent is basically achievable. I currently shard all hp, and I plan to continue with that.

    I solo farmed almost everything I have on(except the dynasty shadows, guild helped me farm those) using my friends wf. don't need a party to do 90% of the things in this game when your friend has a level 101 herc

    everything I have is obtainable in this server. I've personally been in frostwalk and cresent valley in pwi. you wouldn't believe that because your entire server lives off of hh, not the other 2 main dungeons.

    no clue what you're talking about. you said the items I wear are not obtainable in pwi, when I know they are. pwi is just too damn lazy to work for anything worth having.

    not at all sir.

    these items have always been obtainable, since server release. all 3 major dungeons have always been active. I have fw mats on my healer from when I intended to craft him the gold hat as well, because I just naturally favour it for int, con and chant. I haven't touched that character in over 6 months. I got the materials when I was in my 70s, over 10 months ago.

    frost is easy if you know what you're doing. the hardest part is finishing the quest to open the door.

    I got the materials because me and a party of 6 ran frost every day until we finished eachothers quest, then finished the quest inside. on the way I ended up getting materials. we split them how we wanted, and I took what was needed for my hat.

    yes, pwi did. not all of us are newgen like 99% of the people requesting "IS MY BUILD OK???" 12 times per forum page. some of us come with prior experience to this game.
