is herc worth it?

hi i was thinking of getting a herc but is it really worth 40m? or should i wait till gold prices go down im lv 63 btw

    It's worth it if you can afford it. but then i paid roughly 22m, not 40+
    They do open up more of the solo game to you though a lot sooner.

    Wait a week until October, I bet gold drops then. Who knows, they may even have another SOF/PF sale.

    payed mine something like 17m .. but that was some time ago .

    Herc gives you some advantages, that compensate for the lack of zhen party

    but it doesnt make you unto a god
    I look at all the trollers, and Pvpers.. and know they wouldnt have lasted 30sec on Camelot.

    Rules= Know your enemy (players and NPCs) gives you more chances to survive.

    Regular/Rare pets lets you solo 95% of the game. The Herc opens 4.5% more of the game for solo. The remaining 0.5% will always be impossible to solo.

    So it is up to you if it is worth it for you or not. If you play with a good party most of the time, the value of the Herc will seriously decrease. If you mostly solo, than you will see more value on it. Ultimaly, it will come down to if you think it is worth it to spend the 200 dollars or coin equivalent on a pet based on your playing style.
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    I would say yes. I use my herc 95% of the time. As far as I'm concerned, when it comes to PvE the herc is the best weapon we've got. It's the highest dps pet (reality, not paper) we've got on land/indoors and of course our best tank.

    To answer your question in a single word. Yes.

    Omg yes.. I got mine at 81-82 and i wished i had got him earlier. It makes gameplay so much easier and u don't have to depend on other people that much.

    Yes, herc is totally worth it.

    omg the amount of money i have made so far farming fb's and other instances with my herc has payed for itself and some.
    Not to mention you dont have to rely on squads to get most things done.

    Top 5 Reasons to get Herc :

    1> You can Solo AOE Grind on 10 - 12 Pure Melee Mobs at a time, which are like 10 - 15 Levels above you which would level you super fast along with the rest of Daily Quests.

    2> You can solo most of the TTs easily and get all the equipment you ever wanted, or in other words, Herc = Your Future Lv70+ Equipment.

    3> This is the right time to get a Herc, the more you wait, the higher the Gold Prices would get, it seems. I doubt the Gold Prices would drop like someone said. We have never seen the Gold go down once it's up to a certain level.

    4> You can easily do FB Runs and easily earn a million or more everyday, Solo Whatever Quest Bosses you have, Your Daily Quest Bosses whatever be it, making you Independent and not depend on others to help you for Bosses etc, making you level faster.

    5> You get invited to Random TTs by people just because you have a Herc =) And thus make new friends. Also, can Run several FB59 Runs (Which drops the most amount of Reputation Signets), i.e, if your anywhere near Lv 60 - 70.

    How many pet packs aprox. would it take to get one?

    373 packs or 187 gold on average. It can take you more or less depending on luck. If you're spending money, I would suggest charging 4 sets of 50 zen to get the bonus 3. You'll end up with 212, which would leave you 25 spare that you can sell for coin to fund changing pounce to another skill, getting a tome, and leaving you with some coin. If you're farming your coin... have fun.
