Any point to having random -3% chan items?

Now back on topic: 3% channel is nothing if that's all u have.
You are lvl 80. Probably the best weapon for a mage at lvl 90 is the wheel of denied fate ( TT90 glaive). Stats on that glaive improve something we're already good at: dmg. If u want some ballance get the Conqueror, the added HP is nice but the dmg output won't be that big. Depends on play style.
I think both are having -3 channel.

Channel becomes visible when u have over 15%. Some will say 20, but I can tell u , at 15% the difference is there, u can see it clearly.
For PvP stacking -channel is not a good deal unless u can stack about 30% at least ( I have venos in my guild that are around and over 40%). Otherwise, better stack +crit + HP or +attk +HP

I currently have 15% channel and in PvE helps a lot. I have a -3 elem neck, -6 elem belt and -6 from lvl 77 sleeves. With this amount of channel I can kill mobs 1-3 lvl above me (even non elementals) without depending on FoW to avoid hits (true, I use WotP). Both rings are lvl 88 ones with +21+24 attk options on both. Twin brothers b:chuckle
In PvP I switch to Sky Demon Perl/ OHT reward belt and I have a +130HP+1% crit on 1 ring and +80HP+1% crit on the second.

Attk is dropping a little bit, but I get about 200 HP more from rings only. In total, with the bonuses from necklace and belt, I get +400HP more in this configuration, plus almost double pdef (even more now with sage SB).

So yeah, although probably expensive for some players, I found it very very usefull to have a set of max dmg ornaments and a set of max pdef&HP ornaments. I switch them according to the sittuation I'm in.
Having one ornament that fits both needs is nice but insanely expensive at least for me.

Well wait, you're 48. U need to buy 5 gold at 50 to open the box and get the General Summer Magic Sword. And at 400k/gold that's 2 mil easily.

so....GET THAT WoF ASAP... lol . Get a 2 socket one, +3 refined at least, u will change it only when u hit 60. Ask around in archos, u can get a nice WoF at around 1.3-1.6 mil.

farm something with good DQ drops. Foxwing Supremes or somethign...dunno, check the sticky guide for grinding.
Veno is a cash making machine. My lvl 27 veno has 500k+ in the bank and I never farmed anything. I just lvled doing the culti quests. At 48 u can pretty much make about 300k/hour as a veno, so farm 2 days and get that WoF.

...ah...memories...Mine I think was between the first 10 manufactured on Dreamweaver...lol

I was making that much cash with my wizard at that lvl.
I remember very clearly that at that time a MP gold charm was 300k. And I was making that cash grinding 1h outside Sundown Town at Ramshackle Rocs.

A veno starts making real money at 63, when solo TT becomes possible.

Getting rings/belts/necklaces because they have 3% is a stupid idea, there's always a better alternative. But If you have some other channeling gear, like 77 sleeves, certain weapons or other -6% channeling gear, -3% can help making it noticable.

tried veno....too boring for me just cant handle the idea of not doing nothing and not having to think to kill..that and i dont really have time to get bored.
