Faction academy or similar

Hello, as we all know we add ppl to our faction to sometimes never see them log in or log in once a month -.-.was wonder if some a faction academy or something of the like could be implemented to help the lower levels and rid out the ones who dont come back.I've played other games where they have this option,academy is part of the guild for lower levels like say 1-30 and anyone 30+ cant get in it and you have the option to take the person from academy to faction when they hit 30 or even before that,academy members are immune to guild wars,have their own chat that the faction can read also,but academy cant read faction chat.only the faction director leaders and marshals can kick players from academy and such forth,pretty much the same rules as rank in the faction everyone but commissioners can invite people to faction or academy.kinda hard for me to explain everything but i know it works grat in the other games,with rewards for leveling,rewards are automatically given when they level from guild bank(something else that's needed)but it really helps when recruiting new people and lets the person get a feel of how the faction will be before they join.not sure if anyone else has posted similar and i did search a little before posting but i figured if i found anything it would be old and didnt want to get a bunch of ppl screaming necroed at me.

    its an interesting idea. i neveer would've thought of that. it would make recruiting much easier because it would separate those who want to join a faction from those who dont.

    I'll make my replies here, especially in what i bolded

    1. I hope your not talking about automatic kick lol, yes there should be a date when they logged in, easier to kick the really inactive ones

    2. I think lowbies actually don't even participate in TW unless they want to get their butts kicked by the high LVLs

    3. You see in other games... worked for who? Sorry I played another mmo before, it only got worse and worse. Academy rewards spoils the low LVLs and makes them dependable on others. I remember in other mmo, everytime they LVL, there is an upped rank and guild buff. I remember guilds do it for the ranks, meaning USING the low levels for rank, also people making alts to take things b:shutup

    4. Academy is only for new players who are lazy to even get their own resources. Do you really want leechers in your faction? It happened on another mmo, where people using each other for money / rank. Its not a good idea to get things for free... Sorry, I disagree because of what i experienced, i was in guilds and seeing ridiculous rewards and powerlvling (LVL fast by higher LVLs working for them)

    Conclusion, academy will only bring leechers, what would newbies do with all that money anyways? Or the items that they can't even use yet or something like that. I strongly disagree

    very good point. i myself have found that wen i recruited noobs, they become too dependent as they lvl. it ruins them. thx Yulk for reminding me of that. i too, am completely against this, bad idea.

    you don't have to give them resources,you don't even have to give them rewards.in my academies in the other games i never did ,and everything was fine,all i did was help them with quests,sorry you have had bad experiences but that's do to bad leadership.being in an academy makes no one dependent on anything unless your spoiling them.b:chuckle

    Isn't this essentially what the low lvl areas around the three started cities are for? A place to learn the game, and, if your able to find a faction in this time, be able to get help from them? This 'academy' thing, a place for learning the game, is already in there. And there is a reward for lvling. When you hit 20, you get a quest that yields a decent item, just for going to Archo. Plus, there's the supply stash, which is like a reward for lvling every five levels. So, yeah. This isn't something that is useful, because the basics are already there.


    Unless I'm completely misinterpreting this concept, in which case your going to have to be more specific on certain details.

    We something similar on Travian, but there was no mechanic for this in the game.

    What you did was make a sister faction. No different in anyway from any other faction. Then you put someone reliable to be the leader and tell anyone that wanted to join your faction to join the sister faction first.

    The leader of "the academy" would then keep an eye on the recruits and recommend the good ones for promotion to "the real faction".

    The rules and conditions for promotions are completely up to the faction, and the leader of the academy can be rotated.

    Academy is not only for new players!It is also for people who need help. We don't spoil people either!Watch what you say about factions. Especially the one i'm in.
