uhm... they haven't even made a PWI for MAC, so they're probably not going to make one for linux anytime soon or in the future.

PWI runs with very little issues on later versions of Wine. You have to do a few tricks to get it to run, though. Here's the app page for Perfect World:

    http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=9923

I will say that it's not a complete plug & play solution, and you'll receive no support from the PWI staff. However, I've been running it for 3 months without issues (other than the normal crashing in Archosaur, followed by the new graphical lagging issues introduced recently). You will need a fairly decent machine to run it on, as well. It consumes a bit more resources than running it natively on Windows.

Here is some info that I found that you guys might be able to use:

Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

for the best results running pwi in wine use the actual developement tree of wine.

downloadable here for all major distributions.

    http://www.winehq.org/site/download

in our windows free household we never had any trouble to play pwi since day 1.

    A good moderator should:
    - Have the computer skills necessary to handle forum-related tasks (Web skills, basic programming)
    - Be patient to handle all sorts of requests
    - Be level-headed to keep discussions and some petty squabbles in check.b:cool

Actually, using wine 1.1.30 and kubuntu 8.04 (LTS) it runs perfectly with the exception that only the first frame of the cursors is shown.
