I will kill 1000 mobs in one day.

Your estimate per minute is off. Even if accurate though, you're level 96, thieves are 72, a 24 level difference gives you 20% exp, and at 360 exp per that's 360*1.25*.2=90 per kill. Even at 600/hour (which I think is high... 15 every 120 seconds I could see, unless you're not looting then it goes higher) you're getting 54,000 exp/hour, considerably less than what we were mentioning before. But, it's not like you said you did it for very good exp.
o.O 20 Seconds to gather loot? Since all the mobs die right next to me, its more like 5 seconds. Solo I can get 10 per pull, but since I Cloud Sprint/Holy Path/Will of Bodhisatva, it doesn't take 30 seconds, more like 10 seconds. If it took 30 seconds, I would lose aggro on most of them (Considering the Aggro time is 15 seconds max: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/mob/12267 ). And this was back when I was level 7x that I am talking about, when there was actually a point to grinding for XP. But AoE grinding with a BM is actually kind of fun, I can't imagine killing 1000 Mobs one at a time with a melee class, it sounds awful. At that rate I would get like 120 an hour or something awful.0 -

I hope they don't end the oracle fest they've had going on. Not that I've used it yet (had other things to use my coin on) but it's by far more efficient than grinding for exp. Besides, who wants to exp entirely off of daily quests? That's some pretty slow progress... those quests are just minimum exp each day (plus on DW we don't get 2 BH a day, since they took the server down the targets stopped rotating, it's the same mob every single day, it's also a 25% hit to exp if you were doing 2 bh, wq, and cs).

Hi.0 -
I'm not sure what level or join date have to do with anything. The join date isn't your character creation date, and leveling speed when measured over weeks/months/years is highly dependent on your playtime.0

Does 200+ mobs/hr for 18 hours straight count? if not, then no... just pick your mobs wisely.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Just correlating both things to leveling by doing only dailies and how slow is it.
Should've used some background maybe, but I'm too tired as to type much while doing business project.

Your math is off on the exp per hour though. If you could kill 4 per minute (I think 3 is more likely, travel time between mobs tends to use up a good portion of time and your nukes are reduced to 25% so it's primarily pet dps) at 509 base per kill you're looking at about 509*1.25*4*60 for 152700/hour (229050 at 6/min). If you can do frost in 3 hours, it's 333333/hour without double exp.. about twice the rate. Coin farm+oracle is faster too, as is RB (though getting those as a veno is a pain... squads don't like more than one, if one at all... and veno's are a class in abundance
well 6 kills a min might be pushing it slightly but my maths was accurate
6 kills x 509 per kill x 60 mins x 2 double weekend = 366480. i counted the x1.25 for bonus mobs in the kill count.
Back to the point though, i usually farm the messengers when i just have 20 mins half and hour to spare. its not something i would do for 3 hours straight, as you said it is extremely boring. For the coin/oracle route i find that TT1-2 is the best just killing chin, drum, viper and dim and running past 90% of the mobs i can do a run in less than an hour and a half auction the mats probably averages at about 1.5mil per run. i have been tempted to do 1-3 instead for the gold mats but i would have to skip drum aswell and would take longer so wther you got more per run would depend on luck.0 -

Wow...that's a bold statement. A barb AOE grinding solo can kill about 100/hr more or less depending upon the relative level of the mobs. I think I did about 90 Chief Assassins in 40-45mins. I think that extrapolates out to 9hrs of grinding for 1K mobs. The best part is I don't have to move around to gather 'em... We barbs aggro enough that the mobs come to us! :P[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You? Wow!! I am SUPER IMPRESSED! thats like 3600. 18hrs holy... oh Goodness. I am not a grind master yet, I am just staring out on the next challenge I think I can do. Thats awe-some.
To answer some questions I did not touch on:
I will do this saturday
I will be grinding near Immolation camp.
on lv83 mobs named "demonic rougeknight". Pure physical.
I will be using justice quests on these. Although expensive they will help me count the first 80 for that hour and the rest I will count 1 at atime on a sheet of paper.
This is going to take long I kill with basic attack and sometimes spark eruption, when I dont need it for the skill "sunder" wich regenerates my hit points. So I will no be killing for speed whatsoever. this is like a marathon not a 100 meter sprint. Nice and easy.
I can kill 80-90 of theses rougeknights per hour in this fashion (basic auto attack and spark every 3rd one)
This will take about 12 hours. I am giving myself ONE day to complete it. So it might not be 12hrs straight.
I am going to be listening so some sirius or slacker internet radio, the very best of Art Bell (coast to coast am) from u7radio. org. and the lord of the rings in audio books from middle-earthradio. com
Why am I doing it? I dont know. Cause its there? I have no clue guys."Let's all be reasonable here. PWI hasn't fully kept their word about anything since the "Permanent" Charm Packs. This is just another example. We should be used to it by now." -Isala0 -
Now I have some questins for you if you see this again.
1) I have been grinding and come across people that needed quests there for the same mob. I've squaded up with 3 people one time, and with the buffs and everyone helping we murdered these mobs so fast it wasnt fair. The exp was much better too, cool little bonus. Any of you that have gotten into grind parties, how was the exp there? Also do people do this still? It seems alot more profitable in a group, and if anyone needs to go you dont have to stop everything. Also you dont have wait for anyone to start doing it. Seems great, even better a grinding faction.
2) A. Frost- lots of exp, it costs money. with gold costs now, not much reward
B. BH- Good exp, cost money. At bh69+ people want it wined all the time else it takes too long or its too hard for the poor souls. (no one likes ANYTHING hard on this game)
C. crazy stone- Good exp cost money (70k~)
D. world quest- Good exp long time no money reward
E. Rebirth- I dont about this one, please share your thoughts?
The question is, how do you high levels earn coin and get exp at the same time? Are you all re-sellers and cash shop users? I know of ways to make coin, like farming and TT mats. Then taking even more time to sell these items. These however don't give you exp. So are you guys doing frost lets say and then going TT farming? If you dont find a squad right away what then? That would totally bring down your EXP-PER HOUR model that some mention. The costs get up there too.
Now grinding is not THAT bad. I like it. If I use justice envoys, in 4 hours I get 400k+exp and 400k~ coins after all my expenses. Around 30% of Rb in exp and 30% profit in TT. But I can do this alone when I want where I want. No squad needed. Of course I am not talking about killing 1k mobs just some chill grinding. Its not the best but works in a pinch.
Much better for leveling in your free time than other ways I can think of...like spamming world chat. b:angry"Let's all be reasonable here. PWI hasn't fully kept their word about anything since the "Permanent" Charm Packs. This is just another example. We should be used to it by now." -Isala0 -
Aquilonian - Dreamweaver wrote: »2) A. Frost- lots of exp, it costs money. with gold costs now, not much reward
Frost cost depends on your level, class and build
For example on my main BM91, my charm didnt tick until the last boss (stupid aoe dmg) and then I only lost 20k off it.
After repairs I made a small profit, and the 7% of a level for 2 and a bit hours work was nice0 -

From my experience we dont, its either make coin or get exp havent really found a good place for both. most of my exp ceomes from dalies, in my case crazy stone WQ and cube which i do when i first log on i get a little over 1mil exp combined. my coin come from TT which 99% of the time i solo, i always find the problem is finding 3 other people to open the door while the run itself is easy. i dont buy things just to sell them again, too boring imo and i havent charged zen at all. i sell the TT mats at auction so i dont hvae to spend time looking for catshops buying them or spamming chat in archo0 -

It's more efficient. When I usually end up squadding with a random person though they generally just want to solo mobs while I do the same thing which only results in a small exp bonus for them, and a hit for me unless they're atleast 80% of my dps. The problem I run into is that grinding is just slow. There's not really a big difference between our levels, but there's a big difference in just how effective grinding becomes between 81 and 87 and the higher you go the worse it gets since mob exp barely goes up at all.2) A. Frost- lots of exp, it costs money. with gold costs now, not much reward
1 mil base exp. During double exp you can get 2 mil, for about 90 minutes. I imagine a good squad that's actually level appropriate for the zone (most of my squad is 80, you don't even get the reward quest from the zone until 85) could do it in 60. Regardless, you can work about 80% of the total exp into one stretch, which with an esoterica would allow for a 1.4 mil exp run without double. The average costs I've seen run a barb about 1/3 of a gold charm which works out to 1 gold, plus about 115k in repairs. The other 5 can burn about half a bronze charm each which works out to 2 gold (.4*5) and about 150 yuanxiao (9 tokens) between everyone plus a combined repair of about 100k. Considering that, the summed costs for 6 people would end up at 1.32 mil (3*1.02*420k for gold) for the charms, 180k for the yuanxiao, 215k for the repairs, for 1710800 coin total. I could work in the coin drop rates from there but I don't really know them. If you figure 300k drops, that's 1410800 coin spent, so if you split costs up 235133 per person for 1 mil exp (4.25 exp/coin). Add the esoterica in (9 tokens for one, buy at 20k and that's 180k for an eso, 189k using gold) and you drop to 415133 coin for 1.4 mil exp (3.37 exp/coin).B. BH- Good exp, cost money. At bh69+ people want it wined all the time else it takes too long or its too hard for the poor souls. (no one likes ANYTHING hard on this game)
Limited in the number of times you can run it per day. The level 80 one is just 200k per run, if you get both that's 400k a day. The wine isn't a big deal, at 50k per person that's 4 exp per coin and you can always use mats you farmed in place of coin. The reason for wine isn't that it's hard either, it's quite trivial. It's because of time, people can make that much coin back grinding (not that they go grind) making the wine more profitable to buy. The mentality is essentially "You pay because my time is more important".C. crazy stone- Good exp cost money (70k~)
75k for ~200k exp (varies by level). It's a lower ratio than BH or frost. It's also once a day.D. world quest- Good exp long time no money reward
It costs money too. It either costs you time you're not killing mobs/earning coin or it costs you coin in teleport fees. 120k gets it down to 20 minutes. Compare that to flying to every spot. It saves you what, 70 minutes? During those 70 minutes you could grind out another 120k plus the mob kills. 120k for 200k exp is also the lowest ratio of the coin/exp rates.E. Rebirth- I dont about this one, please share your thoughts?
Never done one so I can't comment here other than you're going to have repairs, charm costs, and other items to pay for. Being a Barbarian however, you're in high demand so have a relatively easy time getting into an RB squad since your class is both vital and somewhat under represented at higher levels. The question is, how do you high levels earn coin and get exp at the same time? I have a few people I plan stuff with in advance so I don't stand around much. If I am standing around, I can either start killing the entrance mobs (you don't need a full squad for that) in any particular area, or I'll hold off on heading to the area and grind for a bit. When it comes to coin, there's a few ways I get it. The biggest contributor is TT, I generally own about 20% of the mid mats TT things in the AH unless I feel I'm getting overstocked and sell it all really cheap. I also run a vendor that sells chi stones which provides a small steady income. I'm not a big fan of reselling, since it requires a large supply of coin on hand at all times. Now grinding is not THAT bad. I like it. If I use justice envoys, in 4 hours I get 400k+exp and 400k~ coins after all my expenses. Around 30% of Rb in exp and 30% profit in TT. But I can do this alone when I want where I want. I earn 400k coin in 10 minutes when I want coin. Granted that coin is coming from others, not being created though. There's a big difference in the rates due to that. That sort of coin rate is very good for funding other faster methods of exp such as frost, or even oracles (though I've never done the oracle method... I play for fun and killing one mob every few minutes due to waiting on respawn isn't fun to me).0 -

pfft be a bm...i usually knock out 300-500 mobs a hour..I LOVE IT.I know this is fact cause i do the one man armies..makes it easier to calculate..it also depends on how compact the mobs are around eachother and how u can aggro enough at a time.b:victory
I call bullshlt.
300mobs / 60minutes = 50mobs/minute. That's a 1man army every other minute.

Done!
mobs killed:1034
time playing: 9.5 hours
time logged on: 12~hours
justice quests: 10
Exp earned: 1,369,025
money made : 701,058 (after expenses, repairs and re-stocking. Not counting mats sold. repairs ate a significant portion)
log of justice quests: one hour duration each except where noted.
1. 80 mobs (did not have to wait 1 hour I got he quest yesterday)
2. 107 mobs
3. 107 mobs
4. 128 mobs
5. 132 mobs.
REST (food & errands)
6. 80 (did not have to wait one hour I picked it up before taking a break)
7. 88 (chat window caused this low number)
8. 120
9. 112
BREAK (friend requested my presence)
10. 80 (did not take one hour I quit after the 80 required)
went form 79.1% of lv81 to 9.4% of lv82. This was alot easier than I thought it was going to be like. This was alot more fun than I thought it was going to be like. Also I always thought I killed arund 80 per hour and 90 tops, however I noticed that its more like 100-130 per hour, just basic attack with spark when available. I had a blast! I might try 1200 in the future.
Thank you to everyone that posted in this thread. I read all your posts multiple times and I learned a couple things in the process. Also thank you for those that read the whole thing, its alot of reading. Time to sleep now. thank you guys again. b:victory"Let's all be reasonable here.
