    Its just a matter of common sense in warfare :P.
    because Spartans are well trained army but their weakness is their flanks that they can't defend well if there is a large scale assault on them and vikings would most likely attack them without any actual battle formation(imo it would more or less disrupt the original battle plan of Spartans since having in mind they are defending from frontal attack only in Phalanx formation)since they weren't military disciplined so they wouldn't have any special battle formation(most likely scattered units around battlefield charging into their enemies).
    The summery of this "battle" would be lot of casualties on both sides but i think vikings would emerge victorious.

    I have to disagree, the Spartans were taught at a young age how to fight and endure massive amounts of pain. Even though the Vikings might have been taught never to back down they still have unorthodox fighting skills, which when pitted against a well trained Spartan army with massive shields and superior fighting techniques, Vikings will lose all day and every day.b:victory

    Agreed. Even if the wild Viking battle tactics could help them, the Spartan army would be able to deal with it. After all, it's not like all they could do was the phalanx, otherwise they wouldn't be able to handle anything other than a frontal assault, and I'm sure not every battle provided that luxury for them.

    Numa i already posted my summary regarding the "battle" in one of the upper posts.
    Even tho they might be well trained and all it still doesn't means military supremacy :P.
    (i could take few of current examples of warfare but i don't want to go further into the topic creating some escalations so lets stay at the last post win :P)

    It's probably not what you think. We had already captured them, and were gonna kill them, you know, as ninjas are wont to do, when they cashed in their last requests. I was against it, but nobody thought anything would happen, and so allowed it. The rest, as they say, is history. While we could have gotten them right then and there, we honestly didn't think much of them stealing the color black. Besides, they left us enough to use. But, regardless we're currently planning to get the color back, but there's other more important issues at stake. Like me winning this thread.
