is it worth it to get these while the anniversary event is on and the gold mat can be easily bought with chips?
and can i use these until my 90's-ish?
How many mysterious chips to feng's steel armour take and how much do they take to make? (i cant check atm cus i cant go ingame :( )
thanks

I'm getting them, got the gold mats for under 1mil total including money spent on chips. 17 chips and 360k coin makes 1 of the gold mats.
The only way to win is to quit. b:bye

I got them before the event and they were still marginally affordable.

They give a good dex bonus and when used in combination with the green TT 80 LA top and green TT 80 wrists, you get some good dex bonuses, among other bonuses. Some like the TT Gold 80 shoes, they are still a bit too expensive for me.

As far as 90+, if refined HIGHLY (+7, +8, +9 and up) they would be good, my guess. You will of course get better magic def. and phys def. from the skywalker set, and some good HP bonuses from that set as well. It is really personal preference, dex vs. vit.

Unless you do extensive tanking in PvE or PvP on Sanctuary, I see no reason to get yourself bound with armor pieces.

Hedes will work nicely like how people say W and C works until late 8x->90.

true, so theres more to think about >,<,
ive been planning to do rb, but i havnt gotten around to it yet. These wont really help me until i hit 80 though so i guess i could just stay with hades instead of getting these since i dont pvp much

If anything, all you really need is a good weapon to level. =p (some even might say you don't even need a good weapon)

I think you can do RBs fairly easily if you have enough experience and you can afford to put citrines on all your slots. (what grade depends on your budget)

Save your coin for a good weapon in later stages of your Archer career. You'll need it.

If you have the coin to spare, go for CHS as the frost sign has been in high demand (25mil+). Otherwise a W and C for grinding works fine, or any other TT80 weapon.

Are you an aesthetics person? i.e do you prefer bows? slings? xbows? don't care?

Do you like speed over slow large spike damge? speed=slings, slow spike=xbow, both/don't care=bow

A lot to consider personally, but if you want the absolute best at the 8x range, a CHS (or the xbow equivalent squall), a Guardian of the Realm (doesn't exist on any servers afaik) or Broadland would be the best options.

I think a Crimson Horn: Soulsmasher performs about as good as a Dragonbow with one less refinement (CH:S +5 == DB +4)

So, if you get a CH:S, you can "upgrade" your weapon at level 90 with another refine.

I think from memory the last time I did a comparison, CHS+7 can be compared with a dragonbow +4/+5.

Maybe I gave Gloom a bit more leeway than you did.

True, really depends on the gloom. Will need to simulate that later to find more precise numbers.

    edit:

My previous "comparisons" was just using the weapon damage and didn't run a dps calculation. If we consider dps then self template gives:

    DB+6: 5247 dps
    DB+7: 5443 dps
    DB+8: 5694 dps

    CHS+7: 5341 dps without gloom
    CHS+8: 5566 dps without gloom

I based gloom damage from my previous study on a ~5% proc with a 1522 average increase in damage. This figure obviously scales as you have more +p attack bonuses (and refines) but I have kept these figures constant with my 84 gear.

You can see that unless you have a dragon bow +8, a CHS will probably always almost be better dps wise, save for the 1% crit from DB and a higher lower min with comparitive max damage.

So I suppose a decently refined CHS should get you through PvE well into the 90s as if you wield a similar refined DB at 90.

Also do note that the weapon damage of DB is much higher than the CHS. This means skills that have +xxx% weapon damage will hit harder with DB than CHS.

I think u just shouldn't bother about TT80 gold Weapon or Armor,

Believe me 90+ before u can think off, and u'll just have wasted ur money on a bounded item.

I have no Gold Stuff yet, just my HH99 gold Armor which is the best and won't be changed for a while,
U still have lvls to go.
