Rare Pet Spawning

Can someone explain when the rare pets spawn?? Someone said they spawn a few hours (5?) after system updates - to check the web site to see when the system was restarted?? Where EXACTLY do I do that??? Then they spawn every 12 hours until the next update. Any help would be appreciated.... b:thanks

    There is no exact time to be found at a "location". You just have to wait until servers are up, then wait 4hours and 50 minutes or so and get to the spawn 10 minutes early. No one will tell you the spawn/server up time.

    Also, there is no need for the big ugly purple font.

    I thought using the LARGE PURPLE FONT would make it easier for people to see what my question was.... Guess it didn't work

    Can You Not Read? There Is No Exact Place That Will Give You The Server-up Time Accurately Every Single Week. The Closest That You Will Get Is Looking At The "weekly Maintainence Thread" And Look For People Saying "yay, Servers Up!" Is This Big **** Red Font Easier To Read?

    Normally, HT server goes down at 2am EST and is usually up again around 3am. Therefore, spawns are generally around 8am/pm. This will deviate a little though, especially when rare times are acquired.

    Could someone explain to me how this works? I have a veno and I tried to tame the froggy, but everytime I tried it resisted. Maybe I'm at the wrong place? The database told me to go to south arch for the froggy. Am I in the wrong place? How can you tame this thing?

    Frog spawns in three places near Broken Bridge Village. It's a L9 rare spawn. In order for tame to work you will have to lower the mob's HP to under half. It is possible to tame a rare at full HP but that doesn't happen often.

    Are you sure you are taming the real treefrog and not trying to tame gomda or some level 1 pet in town? South archosaur is the wrong place for the froggy.

    He said he was in S. Arch. That's the one by the Zoologist. He is taming the wrong one but it's NOT Gomda. You can find pretty accurate coordinates for rare spawns on pwdatabase.

    You'll have to be very specific in your searches on the database or it will give you coords for the ones by the zoologist.

    I typed in "froggy" in the database and the only coordinates it gave me was next to the Zoologist in South Arch. That's the one I've been trying to tame. What name do I use in the database to get the real location?

    I said you needed to be specific. For the pets you will need to type in something like: Treefrog, Cuddly Pup, or Tabby Plumdrop. :P That will give you the correct coords.

    If you're ever unsure of the name, you can look up the monsters by level and it should show up on the list with a green face by it. Do you know the levels off all the rare pets?

    I had figured out how to get the exact spawn times.

    If you are up and around when server comes online after maintanence, this thread may help http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=433782

    It also explains why the times deviate/varies and not exactly a certain times after server maintanence.

    I had verified the times on the chart particularly from BNN to Notti times. Kowlin spawned exactly 3 hrs and 4 minutes after I had seen Mini world boss from village of naught (aka wat i named "Notti") spawned. (Sorry been using abbreviated nicks to name mini bosses)

    Then kowlin spawned followed by dodo1/kitty1/puppy and then dodo2 kitty 2 and then pig. Frogs spawn after kitty 2. (i think something like that... i don't remember exact spawn sequence >.>)

    Using server "appears online" doesn't seem very accurate if you tend to go to the spawn 5 minutes before "5 hrs after server comes online". The way the system count when to spawn a pet is when the system is being rebooted/restarted. Sometimes i believe they had restarted the system let say at 1pm, then decided to do a few test for half an hr, so server finally appears online at 1.30pm.

    if pets always spawn 5 hrs after server restarted. Then it will by right spawn at 6pm.

    But if you use server appears online time to predict spawn time, you will think pet is going to spawn at 6:30pm. So if you go to the spawn 5mins before, which is 6:25pm, you will have already missed it.


    If you get what i'm saying XD

    Sometimes GM gets better, they restart the system and straight away put it back online... so less deviation in time.

    Sometimes server crashed or went offline... or someone in the office spilled coffee b:chuckle

    Straight after server came back online after it crashed/went offline, just use scouting mule to see if mini bosses have respawned, if they are, it means rarepet times had been restarted XD and have to re-adjust hunting times.
