Picture Hunt Hints East Coast 3pm PST

This Friday, GM's will be hiding out in undisclosed locations with cat shops up, if you manage to be one of the first to track them all down you will be rewarded. We will be taking pictures of our secret locations on each server and posting them as hints on the forum. The first image will be very small, and it will take a seasoned veteran to distinguish our locations. The second picture will be slightly bigger, giving you a better idea of the secret location, and the third will be a fully zoomed out screenshot. If that isn't enough, we will post the coordinates 30 minutes after the first image has been posted.

The first player to reach all three locations and buy the mystery item (one per player per GM shop) will be the winner.

Here's a quick breakdown on how this works:

* The first picture of each location will be posted in a sticky on the forums.
* Ten minutes after the first image is posted, the second image will be posted.
* Ten minutes after the second image is posted, the third image will be posted.
* Ten minutes after the third image is posted, the coordinates will be posted as a final hint
* The first three players to visit all three locations and buy the item at any point during the hint-giving process will be the winners! When you do this whisper the GM listed below.

What you'll be doing:
* Watching the hints, and trying to find each shop (no particular order)
* Going to the shop and buying ONE item from each shop. You must do this yourself.
* trying to get all 3 before everyone else.

What you WON'T be doing (prohibited behavior):
* Do NOT purchase more than one item from each shop, we want to give everyone a chance to participate.
* Do NOT PK anyone in the vicinity of the GM shops. You will be banned for 24 hours without warning.
* Do NOT intentionally block the shop with large mounts, pets, etc.

What you may choose not to do(your choice):
* Collaboration is allowed, but there is only one winner.
* You are not required to help other users with this event, posting hints may not be advisable if you want to win.
* Running in groups is allowed, but you'll have to fight to be the first if you do.

If you are lucky enough to be the first, you will win our grand prize! Second and third places will also receive something for their troubles. What's the grand prize? A new limited edition flying mount!

This thread will remain open for any questions or clarifications regarding the event. Please don't spam up this thread.

question: If a person is the second person to buy the item at the first shop, the third to buy at the second shop, but the first to buy at the last shop, they are the winner?

answer: Yes. The first person to possess all three, in any order, is the winner. So if you're the first to buy from 2 shops, and someone manages to buy from those two AND beats you to the final shop they win and not you.


question: Also, are there a total of 3 shops or is the last shop (4th shop) revealed through coordinates rather than a picture? If there are 3 shops, do you mean that the coordinates of all the shops will be revealed after the picture is shown for the 3rd, and final, shop?

answer: There are three shops, all three will be hinted at at the same time. i.e. in the first round all 3 hints will be posted at the same time, ten minutes later the second round of hint images will be posted for all three shops, etc.
