uh swoop. you are correct that the GM could probably tone down their powers and make themselves a little more "normal" per say, but that really destroys the whole idea of your event. the whole concept of this event is to pit yourself against a godlike figure and have a slight possibility of winning. having a GM wearing just TT99 gear or whatever isnt even close to being "godlike". (or is it? im not sure cuz im a newbie)

Now, let us assume that GMs have godmode off lmao. so they got their GM cape and weapon on. you make it seem as if that's little. look at the stats. is that not enough? 10 million hp, 100% damage reduction with 99999999999 damage. you dont need any other equipment. your stats are maxed out. GG. chances of winning? 0.

OMG, i just checked the cleric ones, that one has HUGE HP b:shocked . But anyway those refines and all those shards it doesn't give so much HP .

EDIT : Just checked the robe, "GM robe" thats why she has so much HP

Last year no one could take the GM, but that was then this is now. Players are a lot higher and stronger than they were then. Also 300+ players in one place = major lag. Major lag means low performance, which means high death risk.

And I would join Xtacy's low IQ club but I don't like you. So why would I join the same club you're in?

As you say "my event" which means I can change the rules whenever I want. If I feel they are one-sided.

Now I'm not saying high lvl groups have a chance at winning. I'm saying they have a chance at damaging them. Any amount of damage, even 1% will prove that GMs are not as invincible are people say they are.

They can 1 hit anyone and their health is a hax.b:shockedThe dueling would be forever or very short. Spoons is a cleric (Judging from forum avi) so that fight would be impossible unless he just stands there and lets you win. True, you can take their items off of them, but then they would be normal lv1 characters.

im not saying that it's not fun to take on a gm, but to make an event and actually award a prize for defeating a GM seems to be an impossible feat and in the end, the prize no matter how lucrative will only be a teaser.

and like you said, yeah it's "your" event, and im not trying to put it down. im just trying to let you know that your rules as they are now are pretty impossible. if you ever by any chance do manage to come up with a set of rules that are feasible, then gratz to you =]

Actually yeah, I would be. I mean come on, i'm a lvl 63 wiz, we never when in duels. With our slowest attack taking like 2 secs to complete what do you expect? Wizzes suck 1 v 1. But my friends always like me to DD on fbs for some reason. b:victory

This was just an idea that came to me when I saw a barb near Arch complaining that there was no challenge for him. Everything about this event is subject to change. The GMs are the ones in control. The prize of having GM gear was, again just an idea. Other people dont seem to under stand how an idea works. You have an idea like "Hey, how about this?" Then someone might say "That's good, but instead of that, how about this"? etc. until you have something that works. The finished result is never always the same as the prototype. All that is, is the catalyst of the idea. or to put it another way..

Pebble + pond = ripples.
