Hi all. I am an arcane veno and I am interested in getting some foxform skills. So far I have amplify damage updated to my current level. I have around 800k spare skill points and would like to get some foxform skills.

So I am wondering what foxform skills are good for everyday grinding and possibly on bosses? Thanks a lot b:thanks

    Purge, you'll need it for later bosses.

    Do I need to keep upgrading purge or lvl1 is okay? I've heard that Purge is only necessary for TW and I don't really intend on joining any TWs...

    Amp and Purge most especially for bosses. Crush Vigor is supposed to be good in PvP and you can couple that with the Demon Skill you get that causes a target to lose 50 chi. I'm unsure if it's a curse though. I don't remember. Aside from that... Some have thought that Soul Degeneration would also be good in PvP or leeching bosses.

    I'd say at some point you want to max them all out. I've been working on that myself. Purge and two of my curses are maxed and two of the melee attacks are maxed out. The others are L6 or L8.

    Purge - maxed out has a 30 second cool down which is very useful in 2-2/2-3 because the ape boss buffs himself every 15 seconds or so.

    And leech. Leech is one of the most useful fox form skills.

    Do you still get the +hp from leech if you miss?

    Leech, Befuddling Mist, Amplify Damage are what you need right now. Have max purge by the mid 80's, level 1 is sufficient for now. Also don't forget Myriad fox at 79. I like having Consume Spirit as well, but it's by no means necessary, and it's very expensive to make it effective.

    Consume/Leech both work even if you miss.

    Although Leech only has an 80% chance to steal HP. Stunning Blow is also something to consider getting. Helps with those mobs that like to kite.

    Leech is good for those long fights where you take slow aoe damage, like room 6 in the cube or feng. Saves using potions.
    Purge is useful in pve, but I find most bosses recast their buffs faster then purge's cooldown. Maxing purge will reduce your cooldown but its still too slow.
    Of course having 2 veno's solves that problem. You need it for cosmoforce and its useful for some world bosses.

    If you're arcane type the only skills you need for foxform are:
    -amplify damage (maxed);
    -purge (maxed if possible, for later belial runs and not only);
    -leech (optional, I don't find it too useful if you're mostly magic);
    -myriad rainbow (for TW, rebirth).
    Forum trolls are **** beings who find pleasure in picking on other forum users,trying to bully them. Probably kids or antisocial people, feeding themselves with burgers,chips and soda, 23/7 in front of a PC, they are trying to release their frustration through moronic posts. My advice for them is:get a life (girlfriend,job,pet) or visit a **** site to release your anger and hate due to lack of parental love in childhood. Have fun!

    Why does everyone want to kill the faction I'm in? Even if they are on another server? Or is it that none of you know how to read? Since when does Ancient Evil spell Belial? Go back to school.

    On topic, I maxed every fox skill even though I'm arcane. I've made good use of them all and am even getting the sage versions right now.

    I'd probably skip stunning blow if I did over. Kiting is predictable, and SB uses a spark, and has a cool down of 15s.

    Purge may be arguable. I like the greater patk on the boss for better reflect dmg. It's good that Herc's have a buff that keeps bosses from missing. Even Sage Purge also has a 30s cool down, while the boss mentioned buffs every 15s. Purge is awesome for TW though.
    Be kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.

    You need to get at least one rank in Stunning Blow to get Leech. It's only 12k spirit so no big deal. And even if you don't plan to use it, it can be handy on occasion. Like when you're pulling a mob which tends to run in tight quarters. Hit it with SB when it comes in and it'll usually stay put.

    A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

    As for skills, I agree with the majority here. Amplify and Purge especially.

    My foxform is at lvl 1 still as I do't use that often but I have some skills lvled up to 3 or so.I am an Arcane user myself I guess lvled up foxform would help if I wanted to use it.How much protection does this provide to Arcane users like Tigerform provides to Barbs?

    My purge is at 1 still.
    Looking for a decent casual understanding Faction.

    Fox form level 3 is real useful for running away from whatever. Also, it is useful for long boss fights with physical AOEs and you're healing so you basically stay in fox form. It adds a good 15-20% physical defense unbuffed (for me) if I remember correctly.

    Leech heals you, pet heals (and everything in that column... heal pet, revive pet, tame pet, summer's sprint, soul transfusion) work in fox.

    Herc or nix.

    EDIT: also, could you please put a space after the punctuation marks? Makes it easier to read.

    No, Leech heals you. Heal pet is heal pet. The best pet would be a tank pet if you want it to tank, a dps pet if you want it to dps, same as arcane really.

    I got all the standard FoxForm skills (albeit, it was probably later level than you).

    I find myself (largely a PvE player) needing the following the most: FoxForm, Amplify Damage, Leech, Stunning Blow, Purge. The latter two are quite specialised (i.e. runners or bosses that self buff), the former three help me greatly in most fights (i.e. FoxForm saves my butt in most AoE fights or accidental overaggro, Amplify makes my battles go quicker, Leech helps with my HP/MP management).

    I would recommend getting at least level one of those skills - it doesn't cost much and gives you the opportunity to play around with all of them and see what you enjoy using.

    Soul Degeneration has a cute animation - unusual for a veno! b:chuckle

    I have only seen my Leech actually leech once. Thus, it is a fail skill in my opinion, but I prefer caster form to fox form and I will be biased. As an arcane veno your points are largely accumulated in magic which makes your caster form skills better (strength wise) than the fox form ones. As far as being "useful," a veno really only needs Amp and Purge for bosses. If they like to spend some time fighting in fox form, so much the better if they get all the skills and try to keep them all leveled up. Adding STR will add greater damage to your fox form skills.

    the fox form attack tree is 100% melee. means missed skill = null effect.

    I rarely use fox form, only for amp and purge and to run faster, but when I do use it, I don't miss. (At least I don't recall seeing a miss, but my damage in fox form is insignificant.)
