So when I go to Arch I see a lot of Cat Shops using ASCII like code in their names. So how can I make smile faces and such? And I don't mean the in game chat smile faces lol :)

    It's called alt coding. You hold ALT and click various combinations of keys on your number pad to create different symbols. Try Googling it for a list of what combos create each symbol. b:bye

    Except most dont work ingame.


    For example alt + 1 equals ☺ but in game it becomes a ?

    ▲ becomes a ? too. Can't use triforce on the forums, they work in game though (kinda).

    But yeah, you have to copy and paste most of the ASCII (not the player) to use them in game.

    I know that if you go to pwdatabase.com/pwi you can use the stars from weapon ratings, because they're in the game already!
    Might not work for some people, something to do with language packs I think.

    Here's how you get ASCII code.

    In Windows (XP for Me, IDK about Vista), open up the main Start menu then go to:

    All Programs → Accessories → System Tools → Character Map.

    A small applet will pop up with a drop list for Fonts and a grid with letters & numbers. Make sure you have Advanced View checked.

    Now go the font drop list. Microsoft Sans Serif seems to have the most success rate so choose that font from the drop list. Now click on a symbol & the box will magnify. Click the Select button then the "Copy" button. This copies the ASCII code "letter" to your clip board. Now go back to PW client, make sure your cursor is in the right place for entering your code & hit CTRL V to paste into the field in-game. You may have to try a few times to get the character you want.
